Married with child

Hi, guys.

I am an ex-cabin crew for EK. Have been working for several months, but got married and pregnant and left Dubai.

Now I want to rejoin EK again, and I was wondering -what is the situation with married, and with kids. About the accomodation, etc. Any other differences?

How much cost the baby sitters also?
Thanks in advance.

Elly

I would like to ask a questions to EK crew in Dubai, after reading many posts especially the one of ME Expert.

How can police or authorities come to know that one EK crew has sexual relationship with an other EK crew before marriage? Is privacy so difficult to have?
Is it possible by choice for a girl and a boy to share accommodation within EK crew buildings?
Can a not married couple walk hand by hand?

Thank you

Emirates- married with child

Hi, guys.

Hi Elly

you will have no problem rejoining, i know lots of people who have rejoined after having children.
Not sure about the accomodation issue though. Whether because you had worked for them previously you would be able to take the living out allowance, certainly you wouldnt be able to live in EK accomo with a child as its issued on a single basis only.
Might be worth looking into sponsorship also. As a female you are not able to sponsor your child for residency so your husband would have to find a job in dubai and put you both on his visa, unless you come on your own, in which case you would be given a single persons visa as you had last time.

Hey mate! I understand your point of view, but don't you think you should be more diplomatic and polite in your words to EliVasileva ?
We all are humans and we all are making mistakes sometimes... we are not perfect.
Please don't get me wrong, but with behaviour like yours, i don't see any bright future for your career in EK....

Best regards and good luck !

I agree with CrewA380. Try to be more pollite please!!!No questions concerning Emirates r stupid here!!! This is the thread for wannabees but donīt u know that there are lots of CC who come here and read our posts???!!!!!And can u see any importance of repeating the posts which have been written on the previous page???I really wish u good luck with emirates, just have a little bit of respect for the others:sad:

Oh my, Oh my

I've had an email today inviting me to a selection day in London on 28th May, anyone else going?

I have so many questions, and will ask a few here. I am a single parent and have a 3 1/2 year old son, obviously my main concern is him, how practical is it to relocate with him and what problems if any will I have?

Ena85 8th May 2008 21:48

As I am once again packing the suitcases (this time for Dubai) I just thought I'd pop in and wish everyone the best of luck with everything!I myself haven't even really understood that I am actually flying to Dubai in a few hours (probably because I am in jet lag and excitement from my recent trip to Europe) hehe...:) Anyway, fingers crossed for ya'll and I will see u in D!

I know of people who have worked for EK for well over a year and still don't know how to use the staff portal or how many ID90's we are allowed, or what is the procedure for this, or the procedure for that....therefore bare in mind that what Elivassilva asked was no "stupid question" as you put it. Common courtesy please. Thanx :ok:

help in medicals

Hi everybody!!
My name is Salvatore and this morning I sent all the pre medical examinations per email to emirates cabin crew recruitment department...
Now, a few minutes ago I got this answer:
"We have received the scanned reports. We'll have to check it first and we'll get back to you as early as possible if in case we need any other reports and for updates regarding your medicals. Thanks & Regards"
Does anybody know if this is the standard procedure? I am worrying about this could be a negative sign... Anybody who got the same answer?
Thank you!!!
bye bye :)

easynick 10th May 2008 14:51

standard reply

It's a standard reply, and i'm really surprised that you got it so quickly!! that email didn't come to me till a week after i'd sent them.

Good luck, see you in dubai!!

ytayan 10th May 2008 17:11

dude you're being treated as a VIP!!!

i had to call after 10 days from sending my medicals in order to make sure they have received them, because they did not make a sign of receiving anything from me!! but luckily while i was calling the lady told me that she had just clicked on the send button of the e-mail telling me about the FINAL APPROVAL :D

guys i am curious, i would like to know what the regret mail looks like. i hope some1 who has a copy of that e-mail forward it to me: [email protected]

and Finally, i beleive we are all no more WANNABEs ... is the a Forum for Emirates CC AREs? or lets say a forum for the CC whilst in their Training ??!

Good luck to Allz

Joe
