To Flyguy87 or any Indian who went recently for Emirates screening...
Pleazzzzzzzzze enlighten me...what in world are they looking for in a candidate as a bengali speaker...!!???

hi guys yes i think so it seems like we are in the same boat a few of the girls that was in my final interview have got theirm GC or rejection mail so i dont know what is going on with us guys? my status has been AIP for a few weeks now

I had my final interview yesterday in Sydney. It war really hard and I don;t think it went well but we'll see....They gave us a booklet full with information to fill out and to attach (photos, school certificates) and they asked us to complete an online psychometric test....
My question is the following: They asked us to apply online on the Emirates website after they let us know that we made it through to the final interview.
I already REGISTERED on the emirates website but it makes no sense to me to APPLY for the position again...? ( it is already closed anyway...the open day was on saturday/sunday...)
They say in the booklet: "Apply online (no printout required)

PLEASE tell me if you experienced anything like that or is is just me? :-(

You need to apply online so you could actually check your status there.
After you receive the "golden call", in a few days some options will change into your account enabling you to load the required documents.

I guess as long as we haven't receive the rejection email it should be fine. i think they are trying to figure or arrange a slot for us. Because 1 batch only have around 2-3 guys. with a lot of interviews held the number for guys keep increases and the slot are less. I guess we just wait and give them some times .
some people i know wait 2 months, some even waited longer, like 7months and 9months. How long has it been since your last FI? It's my 6 weeks now. how about you ?

WAITING FOR THE GC
today are exactly 3 weeks I did my FI, nobody received the GC yet.... only one of the girls had the status changed to "get in contact as soon as possible" - something like that .... and my AIP status continues .... I'm afraid .... and it will be a NO?

I've been eyeing on emirates OD wishing to attend if they hold one in s.korea, shanghai, hong kong, beijing as they're the nearest from where i live /mongolia/. I saw QA was holding an OD in s.korea on 31 March 2012. Unfortunately i wont be able to make it then, anyways you can always try for QA OD, its a gd experience anyways. I'm also eyeing for KAL interview in mongolia i hope i can make it

They turned the April 22nd AD into an OD... on April 14th !!! And I had already asked for my holidays from the 20th, now what to do
Tomorrow I'll call the appointed agency here, ask them when they'll be holding the AD and wish, hope and pray that my boss agrees to change my holidays.
Such complications.... it'll be worth it in the end. Right?

I always say "everything happens for a reason" I do the same way, roster my holidays around AD. One time I applied for holidays aweek to early. Few days before my holidays were to start I realized my mistake.
I told my boss some unfortunate matter came up and if I can move my holidays. She agreed and was even happier for me to do that because another employee needed that time off desperately.
Would you prefer to go to OD rather then AD? Did u apply online and got an invitation for those days?
I think everything is worth it if you believe in it

Well I applied for the AD before they changed it and didn't get any answer, seems that here in my country invitations to ADs are really rare. I'd actually like to go to an AD because I live far from Buenos Aires and if I'm travelling I want to make the most out of the trip. But at the same time thinking about it, if I have to join EK it doesn't make much difference going to an OD or AD.

I called the appointed agency, they said the date of the Assessment could only be given to successful candidates. 
Now how am I supposed to organize my trip from my city if I don't know whether to change my holidays or not!

Hello everyone!!!
I just went to my OD on the 24th of March in San Francisco. A total of around 80 people attended. They gave an intro about the company and the life style in Dubai. Followed with several DVD's and they had Q/A along the way. After that we had CV drop off's and reach test with a mini one on one time with the recuiter. lik 2 min's. Then we all were handed a not stating if we were successful or not. I was successful to the next stage!
AD was with in a hour from that same day. We were divided into 4 groups to have group discussion. First topic was to come up with a sitcom. They simply want to see how well you work with people and in a group as a team. I emphasis Do not over power the conversation hear everyone out and let everyone give there input. Two girls I met there wonderful girls, did seem to over power the discussion and they were not successful.
I would of loved for those girls to have gone thru. After that they had us built a tower out of paper rubber bands and binder clips. same concept work in a team. After all groups have gone again the famous letter stating successful or not. I made it to the Final interview. I was stunned!
The next day was my final, they mainly focused on my work history how it can be applied to cabin crew. Questions based on how you deal with angry customers what did you do in this situation, things of that sort. I feel my interview went well. now having to send in several documents they requested and now to wait for my GC..... I know God has pulled me thru all this and has been with me all thru out this journey. I am hoping for the best and i will keep everyone posted once i receive the GC.
Hope my experiece was helpful and i am here if anyone has any questions.

Mich89, congratulations on making it to the final interview! I was just coming on here again to see how many people were from the states. Also wanted to know if anyone from the March 12th NYC OD was on here. I just got my status changed from "Under Review" to "Approval in Progress." Very excited about the status change, but still anxious about the whole thing. I got nervous as it took 2 weeks just to get the AIP status, but it just seems to vary so much from group to group.
