hahaha first of all i'm a dude (man) and thanks alot for your advise i do really appreciated alot..and its my second time applying for cabin crew i went to OD 1 of Dec and i was there very early and i was the first one who submitted his CV but i did't get a call back for the AD because i found out i didn't pay my bill so my mobile service wasn't working stupid me..and here i'm applying again on 27 of Dec..but what i want really to know is how to make them call me back..is there any trick i gotta do or say...i'm good looking guy extremely good (they call me tom cruise in my town lol) kidding of course but really i wish if they call me back i'm dying for this job i love it more than anything..i'm an IT guy by the way.. and i have been reading all the pages from 1 to 95....feel free to add my skype: dark_sky_dark_eye.

Hi there, first time poster wanting really bad to become Emirates cabin crew. I know its tough to get (almost like winning the lottery) Does anyone know if i have to wear a business suit to the Vancouver OD coming up in January 2012. Im a male by the way. Also, the passport size photos you have to include with the resume are they full body or just from the neck up photos? Thank you to whoever replies.

Seems by reading here they reject you automatically if you have visible scars which is ridicoulus and discriminatory. I have one on my hand. Anyone know how to get rid of one? Collagen injections?

Hello there! I'm going soon to an OD and I have a question!
I have a beard (a really simple one and totally groomed)... Do EK has a problem with that or I just have to shave it before going there?!! I have to add that I look better with the beard..
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I am attending the OD in Melbourne the 7 of Jan in the email i got says to bring an updated CV with a photograph, Passport size photograph? I read in other post people needed to bring full size and passport size one. If anyone can help would be appreciate it.

I would like to know some stuff about Ek.. why they ask you upon filing the online application if u were interviewed by the Ek group before and when? and so they check refernces... also, what is the situation for someone worked at flight operations for only two months and would like to apply for Ek? should i hide it especially that the airline i was working at was a low carrier one and doesn't fly on the same plan rates emirates flying with but i have a flying license and i am afraid they will find out afterwards,?
Please advise as soon as possible...

absolutely u have to shave ur beard before attending any interview with Emirates (or other airlines). They are not looking for handsome guys, but for a nice personality with a groomed appearance.
They don't care if we look better with berad, it's totally not acceptable to attend the OD or AD with a beard on ur face
u have to impress them, they wanna see how u will look like in uniform. If u get the job, u will have to shave before every flight.

I dnt think tht they can figure out u did an operation or not and even about cancers pple can be diagnosed it s not their fault it s God s will I think if a candidate has had a breast cancer and she is ok now she can still apply but has also to hide this truth the cure will show no sign of it am I true?

I don't think there is a problem at all with breast reduction, but don't mention it unless they specifically ask for surgeries.
My question now is, what about breast enhancement with implants? Are they a problem?
(I wouldn't think so as they are so common nowadays)

You can't wear glasses, but you can wear soft contact lenses. Later on when working for EK you can get a doctor's letter saying that you can't do contacts anymore and they may let you wear glasses... That's what I read here.

) I have mentioned mine cos it was such an easy job,just 30 mins then go back home.Even some doctors dont consider it as a surgical operation.but i regret now, cause they ve taken it too serious) I am not a cancer, I have never been cancer and hope i will never (god knows, no guarentee), but they ve given me the fear of cancer!!! So what i suggest, do not mention anything more than they need, unnecessery details make too much unnecessery headache. maybe they will hire somenone who already had cancer cure and did not mention it, me I ve never had cancer but as i mentioned benign lump left from ages ago, will not get hired. so dont be too honest as long as important health issue ))

OD, as long as u re smart and look proffesional, it will be ok. for the next day group int., u will be required to wear black bussiness attire. it was how it went for mine...

its the 4th day after the red message on EK website: "u will be contacted... at the earliest". It doesn't seem to be at the earliest.
I can't sleep properly everyday i wake up in the early morning thinking that i missed the call or simply dreaming of getting the call!!
I heard it usually takes 2 days after the account being locked with the red text
plz somebody put my mind at ease!!
