final interview

At the final interview the lady told me explicitly and insisted on that i will receive an e-mail within six weeks and if i dont get it i should contact them because sometimes emails get lost in the cyberspace as she put it.

Was it her way of telling me i had failed or what since they usually send emails only if you are rejected?

I'm asking the guys who made it to the final interview and got the golden call afterwards: what did the recruiter tell you? have they mentioned any email sending and you got the golden call anyways?

Im gabriel, i think i was sitting next to you during the group exercises, you like kit kat chocolates? and you "say" ur good at table tennis? even though im gonna teach u a lesson at it when we get to dubai!!! hahaha, just kidding. do u remember me? Im also wating for that call, and yeas, i also got the "token" which i will gladly give to my sister.

Hi, dont know if someone replied to your post yet, but yeah waiting for the golden call is a stressful time regardless how it goes.

Okay firstly you will get a call personally directly from dubai if you have made it, an email if you have not. if it takes longer than 6 weeks then you should contact them, that's the policy.

In this forum i read some people received emails before the golden call, mostly the so called grooming email, but as we signed a grooming form in our final interview, we never got emails, just the phone call. if you have an emirates account on their careers page you can at least kinda follow your progress up to receiving the golden call. on your profile the status will change from 'applied' to 'approval in progress', then after that you usually cant log in anymore, but a message at the top states in red that you will be contacted by recruitment. that normally means you got it, just have to await the call... to save you some hard times, they only work sunday to thursday. so at least dont stress about calls on friday and saturday as you will be making your life worse... ha ha but keep in mind their time zone is GMT+4 so as you are kinda on the same timeline as south africa you can get a call early, but i think they keep our time zones in mind, me and my friends got their golden calls between 9 and 10 am local time.

Hi guys...i am new here..i just want to ask you a question...Having worked for many years as a senior passenger agent for an international airline and been nice looking girl,i got rejected on the online application form for an OD(not AD) wich will be held soon in my city...What do you suggest..?To still go there and try? I was also told that they only work Sun-Thu and I expected my GC around noon (CET), but my phone rang on a Saturday at 15h30 CET! I think there's just one thing we can say about Emirates HR: they are very unpredictable

hello! im curious if there is anyone active on this forum who is over 30 yo and was hired by Emirates Cabin Crew...im 30 and im wondering if i should still apply for a job as a flight attendant or my age would ruin my chances in front of younger applicants

Yeah that is strange, coz at least when we submitted a query on the portal, they only got back to us on working days. But yeah, I still kept my phone close when I was waiting, regardless hey, safest bet...

But your spot on with trying to predict how they work

So lets just say they are not suppose to work then, ha ha

Thought I could give them a day to relax more when waiting for the call, but you are proof that u can never rest with EK... ha ha

For those still waiting, dont take this too seriously and stay up day and night, just keep your phone close and charged, and know people have missed EK calls before, they will try again if they didnt get you the first time through. If they want you they will contact you!!! Good Luck

For those waiting for their GC

It's really important to keep your phones close to you at all times. Even though their office hours are Sunday-Thursday, I got my call on a Saturday morning (Canada time) which makes it Saturday night in Dubai. I got my GC on Nov 12th (unsure if EK was just trying to catch up with their list because they were on holidays for a couple of days before my GC) But noone ever knows.,it's true that EK's very unpredictable.

My friend also missed the +917 call that morning and he called them back right away, and EK got back to him within a few minutes for the golden call =)

My DOJ's Dec. 25th flying out of Toronto. Anyone else? =)

Hi all,

New on here so sorry if i am repeating the question. I am considering applying for emirates and I know it is a long process BUT wondering if anyone knew what the salary was like or rather, what you take home every month after allowance etc???? I know accommodation etc is all included.

If anyone has any insight please let me know.

If you were not shortlisted that means that your online application did not look appealing enough to the HR department or that you have incomplete info.
Try to go through it again and re-submit.

Do not lose your faith, especially if you know you have what it takes.

Well, i signed a grooming form at the interview with one of the recruiters, and then i went to another room where i had my final interview with another recruiter. This latter recruiter told me i should receive an email within 6 weeks. And if not, i should contact them. What email was she talking about? Since i had already signed some form in which i was saying i have no tattoos and stuff.

I really dont know what to think. Was she hinting at me that i failed or what?

Are you working with them, A380SuperJumbo? What did they tell you at the FI, how did they say they will get in touch with you?

Waiting is awful, yeah, i think im gonna take some dance classes or a trip to the moon or smth, anything to take my mind off it.
