Not really. There are 4-6 training courses a week. You can be in different classes, different fleets even (A380 or main fleet). They try to mix the nationalities in a class. It's important to adapt to the multicultural environment.

hi all, I am a bit worried because they gave me 2 weeks to finish my medicals and passport and, I think the medicals will be ready but the passport can be ready only 3 days after these 2 weeks finish. I submitted a query on my portal about this but still no answer. DO you think it is a problem if those 2 weeks are a bit ''overdue''?? thanks

Hi Scarlett24,
How are you doing? I hope you are doing great. I am sorry for not posting right away, I was a bit busy.
Well, yeah I went to the Assessment day, and I went into the meeting room, but I was asked to step outside the room since I didn't have an invitation. Outside there were some people as well without invitations.
After sometime, a guy from the recruitment agency came and collected our CVs, and started interviewing each one of us, and asked some to come the next day and others were asked to just send their CVs on this email address he gave them. So we can say, this was a kind of an initial screening.
The next day, mainly most of the people who where there were the people who were shortlisted the previous day.
The assessment day started by distributing some sheet on us, which had information about the airline, the country, the salary....etc. Then after that the showed us some videos about the company, life in Dubai, the planes....etc. after the vidoe was over, this young lady started talking about stuff which I kinda knew all of it thanks to forums like this.
After her speech, we were divided into two groups and each member of the group was asked to get to know the person on their left as they are going to present them, as this was taking place, a reach test was also being conducted. So, we got over with presenting each other, then the groups were asked to come up with 5 challenges for living in Dubai and 5 Advantages for living in Dubai, one group for the challanges and the other for the advantages. Then they chose random people from the groups to say the challanges and advantages that the group came up with.
We were asked to step outside the room after that as they were gonna make their decision regarding who is gonnna pass to the next level and who is not. And seriously I really couldn't figure out at all on what basis or criteria they have chosen the people who passed to the next level. Anyway, they called us in and handed us these letters, and mine said unfortunately blah blah blah. And that's it, I didn't make it to the english test.
And that was my first assessment day ever!
Wishing the best to all the people out there and Ramadan Kareeem!

serenali if they select you for the A380 fleet, you'll get an email more or less a week or ten days before your DOJ. If you don't get anything, you're in the main fleet.
(This question has been asked a lot of times before, I suggest you to read at least this thread from the very first page!)
