I prepared ahead of time because I didn't atttend in my city
but here is : passeport size pics business attire at least 8
full body business attire pictures
casual pictures not smoking and driniking and somehow conservative means no bikini or showing boobs ! lol
all the diploma from high school , university professional education etc
colored copy of your passeport first page
a proof from your current job paycheck etc
make sure all the documents you are submitting are translated to english
good luck

Assessment day Dubai!
Hi! Just wondering if anyone can give insight into the Assessment Days in Dubai. I applied online on Sunday and got an email the very next day (yesterday) inviting me to an assessment quite soon! I was so surprised! I thought I'd have to wait at least two months!!
Anyway, would really appreciate some pearls of wisdom to do with the assessment day here in Dubai.

sister_stoke - I attended one before in Dubai and it's the same as the other ones (read back plenty of information) , the steps are: Emirates presentation (video), group exercise/reach test, English test and then another group exercise. you dont need to prepare any documentation. if you reach to the FI then they will let you know what to bring for the interview. Good day all!!!
I was just wondering, i had my final interview on the 10 May 2011,
my status then changed to Approval in progress, however today i wanted to log into my account on the EK site, somehow it does not want to log me in, i say You will be contacted by your Recruitment coordinator at the earliest.
What does that mean?
Should i be concerned?

No don't be concerned, it just means that they are looking at your application and will notify you when you will be starting(if you made the final interview as you said). It might sometimes take a while for them to let you know - took me about 3months when i first started.

Just be patient, i don't think it will take that long because they are recruiting alot of people at the moment and it will carry on till next year (that's how the story goes here). They will contact you either through email or phone so make sure your phone is by your side all the time.

Hi,
I am new to the fourm I had my FI 7 June in Barcelona after the FI they make me do an IQ TEST !! a week later they send me the Image & uniform standard form to sign and email it back to them into two working days , is this a good sign?? Im really worry!! time is going slow

unfortunately i came across this forum after my FI while trying to know more about the waiting time. i have been reading previous posts but still am quite confused about the waiting time.
i have been waiting since 5 weeks now (1 week more to go before 6 weeks are over) but still nothing changed, that is, my status has remained the same. I created an account on the emirates group after my FI as advised to me by some people here.
i read from previous posts that some got the rejection mail, while some got their golden call 2 weeks after their FI while others had to wait for months.
am bit confused 
can anyone help? thanks in advance

Hi Mohcri!! I'm a new joiner too in the forum, i got mi FI on 5th june in Montreal, i didn't make the IQ test but like you they sent me a image & uniform group one week after the FI... and i'm still waiting...

Just be patient guys, they recruit from all over the world so have many things to go through. If you were successful on the FI then you have to play the waiting game. Some might be contacted very quick and others will take longer, as I said in my previous post, mine took about 3months. The image and uniform thing is different from when I started, but take that as a good sign. Be prepared however that they might contact you out of the blue and ask you to start the next month even if it is in a weeks time, but they are reasonable if you tell them that you can only start a certain time - don't wait too long though. Before this happens they will ask you to get some paperwork done first like all your medical I.e chest x-rays etc etc (this was how it worked when I joined, I'm not 100%sure of what the exact procedure is these days).

I guess you can hope for good results, especially after a question like which aircraft you prefer.

I've already looked through most of 8 and all of 9 and couldn't find the info you were talking about Is it pretty far back in the thread listing? If you can remember what date around about then at least I know which one to aim for by the posting dates...

Hello guys. First of all congratulations to all who have received their GCs. Well, as I have read on internet, they say Emirates will recruit 4000 thousand cabin crew for 2011-12. So I wonder, will this fact affect the duration of golden calls? I mean, I took FI last week but naturally I would not want to wait for 3 or 4 months with uncertainity. Do you think their huge number of recruitments will accelarate the GC processes?

Why do you think it is that some who have had their FI after my group receive their GC or status change before ? I thought that it would naturally go in the order it was received,I guess not
