Melbourne Open Day June 10th 2011
Hey just wondering if anyone attended the open day in Melbourne last weekend - and in particular those who made it to the next day - i did and then i got cut out just before lunch

British Emirates Cabin Crew
Hi people,
I am currently short haul cabin crew & living in the UK and would like to apply to Emirates. Can anyone tell me the next OD/AD that's happening soon? Also where can I submit an online application as their careers website is only allowing applications from Arabic speaking/UAE nationals.

try not to worry, I keep telling that to myself. Its hard when you see that they can call you earlier too, but they said 4-6 weeks.
LadyC, and Joy88, since your status has changed it must mean that they will contact you in couple of days, have your phone handy,
Akoti19 so sorry to hear you didn't make it. I thought they are picky but not that much. Try to cover your scar somehow next time, and if you love the job keep trying. Don't give up.

Hello everyone!
I am going to attend the AD in Morocco on July 23. I have a question concerning the medicals. I have an "S" scoliosis the upper pert's cobb angle is 7.8° and the lower part is 4.7° and I have a white birthmark. I wonder if Emirates is tolerating this.

Hello everyone! I had my final interview today and the recruitment lady did not tell me how to track my status. I did not apply for open day on emiratescareer. Is it compulsory to apply online or not? Is there anyone here who didn't apply online and got GC?

I guess those who attend OD do not have online tracking facility. I am a bit worried cos almost everyone here can track their applications online, prior to GC or rejection. I do not have an online tracking stuff. But it is not compulsory right? Anyone has any idea?

As this question was previously answered, it doesn't matter. Your online profile only allows you to track your application status. Even if you already went to the OD or FI, you can still create a new account if you haven't done so already. Just make sure you use the same email you provided them with : that's how they will track you on the portal.

L.a open day updates
Hi all , so here is what happened on the L.A open day this Saturday June 18 ,2011
As you know i flew down from Canada , I received my invitation 2 days before the Open day , so I got there super early as my hotel was accross the street, was there at 8 am , and was already 4 people waiting all flew from different states , some was their first time and some 4th time we waited in front of the door until 9, and during that hour a lot of people came in I couldn't really guess the number .
So the two lady came in opened the door and asked us to wait few minutes, after 10 min she opened the door and asked us to come in , to grap some documentation and a paper that states if you already attended an open day or assesement etc .
I was sitting in first row, then they welcomed us and started talking about emirates and dubai while showing some videos for 1H30 min , asked few questions, then asked us to go see her one by one drop CV and picture while doing that she would ask a question about your current job , where you orignally from etc
then asked us to be back in 45min we waited until everyone was done we at that moment had a sticker with our name and a number , then asked everyone to go back to the room and dived us into 4 group we were 80 persons, so the first group exercise was the reach while others find out what's the person in their left would do if they win a million dollar, while doing the reach test she would ask you something , she asked e if i was comfortble about moving to dubai after we were done she asked us to alll go outside and wait , 15 min after we got called back given a paper and asked to read it outside, I was successful , we then were asked to be back in one hour, then was another group exercise what will be 3 new destinations for emirates and they choosed 3 persons to represent each destination and why , then another cut , then english test , then another group exercise what do you think is a perfect age for a child to have cellphone and why ?
then another cut the numbers were going down down down , then asked to wait then come back at this stage we were 20 who made it for final interview, we were given the paperwork that needs to be filled and an online test to do before FI, so OD and AD were the same day june 18
FI some on the 19th and some on the 20 of june which today
I had mine yesterday , it was really nice more like a chat , if you really have customer service experience it will just be piece of cake! I had all my paperwork ready thanx to all of the peope who posted the paperwork needed I prepared everything before leaving , she at the end asked me if I had a preference for A380 or main I said i would like A380 but it didnt really matter as my goal is working with emirates despite the aircraft))))
Now waiting game starts
