hi! i just got my confirmation. i have to do my medicals now. I have to send them in a week time. Did all of you have only one week to send the medicals? Will I be able to do them in 7 days? Not only to have them but also to translate them. How long did it take for you girls to to them?

thanx!

shijiazhuang00 thanks for the encouragement

grats to all who made it. hahah 7 days! i got TWO days specified as deadline when i got the email to proceed with the medicals.. so be happy! haha. but it doesnt matter anyways, they know you cant do a miracle and usually it takes a week to do all the medicals yes. some poeple did it in two weeks. i rushed and did it in one week and thanks to that i wasted a lot of money and turns out time also, because it wasnt specific enough and i had to resend some things.
so dont worry about the medicals, just stay calm and start doing them somewhere. probably will cost you money but try to consult a doctor who can fill out the form for you (no, it does not have to be a qatar doctor, any doctor will do), it can even be your GP if he knows English. you will have to do all the examinations they ask for and then ask this doctor to fill the form out and if necessary, make some certificates that state that youre healthy in the specified areas. youll do it best if you go to English speaking doctors - this was pretty much impossible in my country too, unless you pay a lot of money to private doctors, which i ended up doing anyways in the end. i had maybe one or two papers that i got translated and sent it like that, for example the CBC which pretty much has abbreviations so there was not much to translate.
good luck with your medicals people!!

Interview -Romania

Hello everyone! Thanks for your answers and for your support! Today I received my confirmation and I have to proceed with medical.

Silvia, I have to tell you to look carefully over the attachments and to replay them in maximum 48 hours with the Uniform forms.

The pre-employment medical must be done in a week, and if you are from Bucharest I suggest you to do them at the Military Hospital. They do often those types of analyzes, and they give you the results in English.

Also in my email it says that we can depart from Bucharest in September, which is very soon, but also excellent! Good look everyone! See you in Doha!

Hello Starbitee,

I'm not sure if i am writing your name properly, so if not i beg your pardon.
Just to say that I am in the same situation, I also passed everything and i am waiting for my medical clearence having the same little problem of you...i have a scolisis of 8 degrees but i heard the maximum accepted is 10 degrees. Thus, if all other reports are good I think you can be optimiste. At this moment i also have my destiny in the hands of God. Good luck for you and hope seeing you in Doha =)
P.S: Anyone waiting for medical clearence from Portugal?

Thumbs up to bluesky26

Hi there! We were also instructed to have our medicals done in 1 week. Yes it is possible in my case since I don't need to have it translated anymore because they are all in English already. Just make sure you did everything right from the start so that you don't need to go back over and over again to the hospital. Do their instructions properly like fasting, etc etc. Goodluck dear.

starbitee and mariana,

i have a co-appplicant who got cleared despite mild scoliosis. she's leaving this sept 12.

as long as it's mild, it's ok. dont worry, you'll be cleared.

i guess that we are all stressed now.. hehe.. waiting for the reply from them.. i mean why does it take so long? just bring the reports to the medical center and get it approved if everything is good.. right?

or i think that once its approved, wat takes a lot of time is to obtain the work permit, visa and they should find a place to accomodate us. and if there is no place then they should for other cabin crew to move out.. i mean its just a guess.. wat do you people think?

Medicals

hy, Yes, they have a section of Aviation Medicine, and they are used to those kind of requirments.
Tommorow I'll go for my own and I'll come back with details.
AHhhh...I remember! I have one more question!
We have to do all the mentioned exams? just

"Detailed chest x-ray report with the comment on Pulmonary function and Thoracic Spine (disc spaces, spine alignment and scoliosis if any).
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
VDRL, HAV IgM, HBs Ag, HCV Ab, HIV 1&2
Eye test report (On the basis of Snellen Chart in "20/20" Visual activity format)
Detailed Audiogram report (Graph)
ECG tracing (Graph). "
or we have to go to all the doctors from the medical hystory report?(the form given at the interview)

andddddd....another question: in the mail is smthg specified " 7.Please ensure that the Medical Examinations point 7 is filled out and not left blank." what to does it refer? what point 7?
Have a nice day!

medicals

The ones in the e-mail are the most important tests to do.. but you should complete the whole form given to you at the interview. Just give your doctor both the e-mail and the medical form. He will understand wat to do and how to fill it up. Point 7 is bout any surgeries that you might have had. So you have to send a report talking bout it.. good luck for the medical tests.. there'll be a lot of running around to do.. hehe.. cheers

fish to mariana palma :)

hi there yes you typed my username right yeah I heard too that they accept 10 degrees and below. Well I hope it'll be the same case for us. I have read different stories that some were rejected even with 9 degrees, some got in with 15 degrees. So it is really just a matter of thinking that if this job is really meant for us, it will be given to us right away. the important thing here is that we did our part to the best that we can to comply with all the requirements. I hope to see you too, and the rest of the people here in Doha. Best of luck to all of us.

You are right, you dont have to apply online for an OD. You just show up with your CV and photos. Good luck!

Hi everyone!

I did my visual field test and I am little concerned about it. I can see very clearly and I don't have to wear glasses but on my test, very few(like 2) black spots appeared. How are your tests? Is anyone else who has some of these spots? Could this be a problem?

Thanx!!
