I sincerely hope it will turn out that way for you.
Something must have seriously upset you, you sound so angry.
Moving on in this case is definitely the best option, for you and also for those who choose to stay. Nobody likes to hear negative comments and unconstructive criticism. I guess complaining is human nature and a favourite sport in this industry, but it is also draining to the poor souls who are at the receiving end.

swimming a necessity?
hi all...
well, i hav a question here... i hav just started my swimming classes and i hav an open day comin up next week. according to the requirements of Gulf Air... i need to be able to swim 50 m unaided. vil they accept me if i say dat i'm currently attending swimming classes? anyone out there who has faced a similar situation?
can someone please help me out?

Gulf Air......HELP!!!
Hi Everyone!Can someone please answer me a few questions!!!
I just got successful at the interview here in Budapest, and I was wondering if its a good idea to leave everything behind and move to Bahrain?! How much is the salary for the start?Is it true it is only US$1200?
What happenes if during my probation time I say I don't want to work here, I don't like it and I want to go home?Will they let me?Do I have to pay my costs?
Do they take your passport away for the probation time???
Please, its my life am dealing with right now, if you could give me some answers, it would really made it easier for me!!!!!

yes the salary is around 1200usd.
Anytime you want to go home you can go,they will not charge you anything and they will never keep your passport not even during training.

The first time they promised me that i ll earn more than 1500Usd but in the end of the first month they gave less than 950 Usd. When i asked them why they just told me that because of the costs what they invest into me!I was thinking can this be true??? They wont let me to go a fu..in away because of the contract which i still dont get... Which means that i had no chance to live!! Now i am at home and im sure that i ll never use this company again even for flying. the 3 months took more than 4 and a half. I finished without any money because the food was one of the worst that i ever taste.The city was soo boring. All the peoples look at me like a poor unlucky thing

during training,they used to give me around 10 euros a day.It was enough to buy food.Bahrain it's a very safe country...I am sure you will enjoy it....
Give it a try....if you don't like it you can always leave....I am been leaving there for nearly 7 years.....I was in GF for 6 years....

Hi all! Just a few thing i want u to know!
Additional allocations were not paid at all during the three months
probation. Referring to some administrational problems my passport has been
reserved for more than two months. After declaring my will to resign at the
end of the probation they requested to pay back the cost of investments. I
am absolutelly disappointed in the whole company. I will never again work
for such a company. People considered me a homeless. I haven't experienced
any kind of appreciation. I was instructed as a servent of everyone.

Yes Gulf air is consolidating as a regional airline while maintaining key medium long/haul routes. Emirates has alot more money thrown at it than Gulf air, its not rocket science.

Decision
Hi Guys!
Well to tell you the truth I have read all the posts here on the forum about Gulf Air and I made my decision finally about moving to Bahrain!!!
My decision is that I AM STAYING on my butt!!!
I understand that the more people are the more opinions will be!
But in the end you can see that Gulf Air is rather on the dark side...
I have so many things here in my hometown and I don't want to burn everything up just because of Gulf A.
There are to many things which have fog around it and it is imposible to rely on them!!!
So wish you luck for the future and I really hope that all of you will find the best airline and the best place to live!

You are doing the right thing!! I am leaving next month to go back to UK and work for British Airways. I flew for 4yrs in the UK previously and wish I had not left. I have never been so skint in my life with bills still to pay back home. Unless you have no other bills/commitments in your home country,do not even bother!!
Yeah and it is so boring too,unless you have lived a very sheltered life!

Swimming
The swimming excercise is not hard but you do need to be able to swim and by that i mean float and move not like professional butterfly strokes. As long as you can make it from one end to the other you will be fine. The rest of the excercise you will have a life jacket on, but if your not comfortable in the water this might be a little scary. I would practise but don't stress about it.

Hi
They do take your passport on the first day of induction and you get it back the day you finish your training. If at any time you decide to leave Bahrain during training they will get your passport back. They need to take your passport in order to fill it with the residence visa. And they money is just as they said but its pretty fun once you get out here and you do make alot of friends.

Im currently with Gulf Air and I can honestly tell you that you have to experience it for yourself. Some people say really bad things about the airline and some people say really good things. Its like everything in life. When your in training school you get your basic pay which I think is 230 Dinars plus 70 dinars every 2 weeks for food and stuff. They have some very nice accomodation here and most of the crew are very friendly. Bahrain is still growing and not as big as probably your use too. There are many nice cafe's, resturants and pubs/bars. There are also many nice hotels where you can spend the day. SOme of them we get into free with our id. Also if your into your nights out there are always ladys nights on and you usually drink free. The most popular place charges 2bd for all you can drink. I love living here and have met a tons of nice friends I will always keep in touch which. The local people who live here are friendly and its not strict like the UAE. Hope this helps
