Hi Superdog 747,

Just finished the application for CSM and the only stipulation on the requirements was a "GCSE in Maths" - it does not mention that the requirement is an A-C grade. Hope that helps

Hi everyone.

Just a quick question for all you BA crew. ( and others who may know)

I have recently applied to BA for the role of CSM, online. This closes as of the 18th July.

Has anyone heard anything about this new concept or the roles themselves and what this will entail ?

Any idea of dates for the assessment days ?

Also can someone let me know what the assessment days are like should i be successful to this stage ? I know on previous posts that people have said there is no tests etc, but will this be case for a Managers role ?

Is there anything besides the usual I should prepare?

BA - GCSE paperwork

Do they really still want people to prduce their GCSE documents. ?

I'm nearly 30 and wouldnt know where to find them ?

Really shocked that they still do and in my previous 2 airlines these have not been required

GCSE maths

Morning, Georgie77.

That's really interesting and gives me some hope. And the very best of luck with your CSM application.

MonarchladMan - I applied to BA a good few years ago and they were very insistent about seeing certificates. But that was back in the days of when they had constant recruitment drives. Indeed, asking for certificates is a bit much!!

hello, yes BA are recruiting for new mixed fleet im not sure it is open yet to the public or whether they are just doing people in the hold pool an ex temps. keep an eye open on the website. not sure on height requirements either.

I don't recall BA requesting certificates last year when i did the assessment day, i was successful too and they didnt ask for them afterwards? could be wrong though.

Phiphi,
I think 156cm is too short. You're 5'1, and minimum height is 5'2. Sorry, but the company is very strict on this.

I don't know whether BA will ask to see your certificates, all I know is that I had to show mine many years ago. I guess the lesson here is to keep such paperwork in a safe place. I actually have ALL my report cards, certificates etc from more than 20 years ago. Too organised perhaps?

hi

Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it.

Do you have any idea which airlines are not that strict for the height?

Hi all

Those of you that have assessment days this month, is it for the CSM position or cabin crew? Reading back through the threads this wasn't clear.

Congrats to you all and wish you every success in your flying careers.

Ba - Mixed Fleet - Csm

Has anyone heard from BA regarding assessment days for this position as yet ?

I know CC (not for mixed fleet ) are having dates as late as September/October, but as i was informed that the SCM were supposed to be trained and online by November 2010, ready for the new recruits.

Would be grateful if anyone has heard or knows of anything.

Many Thanks

ML

Thanks blue.

Keep checking every 10 mins. Lol.

You wouldn't think I'd been flying for 6 years.

Do they call as well?
