Good luck to all of you that are waiting for the final call. I was so ecstatic when I got it... make sure though to realize that waiting and patience is also required after you get the golden call, and a loooong time it is. It is really amazing how long the process is and it can be rather draining. Keep active and don't think about it too much (it's hard!) and what will be, will be.
I'm still waiting to get confirmation of medicals and to start joining. Keep positive!

Hello! I'm leaving for Dubai in 4 days and I still did not recieve my e ticket and visa info! 
oh well I guess I'll wake up with this in my inbox. So much suspense...untill the end. haha

You should get an email about 2 days before the departure date with the e-ticket, visa and other info. I actually got mine the day before, so I wouldn't stress too much. Just enjoy the time home while you can :-)

Dont they realise how stressfull this waiting can be!
Couldnt they get someone else to look at it for you?
I also totally agree with what canadianboy is saying!
This whole waiting thing doesnt end untill you actually get there.. I couldnt make up my mind which waiting was worse.. the golden call or final medical approvals after spending all your xmas savings to get it done!! hehe
But i've learned not to stress by now..... untill 4 days prior and no eticket! hehe

How Can U Manage To Ever Get Thru The Phone To Get An Actual Answer??
Man, i've been waiting for sooo long and now that i'm calling them..i can't get through!!
The operators tell me to try in a lttle while!
i mean it's soo frustrating...
plus they tell me to hold on and the call gets transferred to the voicemail and u hav to leave a message and the voicemail is full..of course im not gonna leave jus a message and just wait, i wanna SPEAK to them and know finally where i'm standing!!
and ppl tell me that all airline companies are cutting down on recruiting new members and what is that supposed to mean: that i should hold back and not try to call just bcos the world is in financial crisis??

YaY got the E-ticket
I got my e-ticket and visa this morning!
I am going to fly from Montreal to JFK and from JFK to Dubai on the A380! I am so excited to sit on that flight, this aircraft is so huge!!!!!!
I am a bit worried because I have 1h45 minutes between both flights and a lot of flights are delayed lately because of bad weather conditions. Hopefully its not late, I cross my fingers.
Montreal76 missed his connexion last time because of this exact problem with the exact same flight itinerary!
Pinkylicious, dont give up girl. I am sure you'll talk with someone soon, have you checked the time difference from where you live, because of the opening hours and stuff! good luck with everything!!!! let me know how it goes!
I will let you know how it goes over there when I get access to internet!

Medicals the 2nd Waiting Stage

Took them about 1 week to get back to me after my medicals... I think it all varies depending on your DOJ and if you have to resign from a current employer.
And yes they are a nightmare!
My best advice is to go to an pre employment medical center. They do medicals for all pre employed staff in various industries. The one I went to does it for all the Qantas and Virgin staff here in sydney.. So it was mostly done under one roof..

Medicals
Deon85 - The only pre employment places are down in london so it would cost me a couple of hundred to get train down there and stuff. Saw my GP today and she said she can do all the blood tests and vaccinations for me but i have to go elsewhere for the Chest X-ray and Audiogram. I think my Christmas money is fast disappearing!!
CarineA - Im glad you got your tickets and everything!! I bet it all seems worth it now. I think I am in the stage of paying out for medicals so I dont like Emirates as much as I did!! Im sure that will change once I get my approvals back. I just wanted to ask you about your PAP test. Did you have it done because in the UK they wont test anyone under the age of 25 which is silly.

Exciting...
It's really interesting reading everyones posts and journey through getting the call and the go forward with DOJs medicals etc...really nice that everyone is so supportive. 
I decided ill join the forum too...
I attened the open day in Sydney on 6th December and made it through to the final interview. Am officially today in my 3rd week of waiting, someone I made friends with during the recruitment process who was interviewed on the same day got his call on the 2nd week and I am so happy for him...but makes me wonder...

Sorry to hear that. What did you think about the FI? Anything that you still in doubt about it? Sorry to ask this question, I have noticed that some ppl have to do the IQ test as well but some don't. I just want to find out and try to get the clue a bit.

I had to do the personality test. A book full of questions with multiple answers. They told that there is no wrong or right about them.
But after my final interview I was asked to do the IQ test. Another book and this time I had to complete the missing part of the drawing.
