Hey, you don't have to wait for an invitation to attend an OD, everyone who's over 21 years old age are allegeable to attend 
All the best and give it your best shoot, it'll be an experience that you wouldn't forget. P.S. Try to be friendly and nice to everyone too, it'll definitely helps

Hey I think you should definitely go for it, as everyone always say "Life is short" so you should get the most out of it, do what you want to do and passionate about is the most important thing in life in my opinion. Age is not a problem, as long as you think you are up for it. What have you got to lose, right!? Go for it~!!!! All the best and good luck

I called them this morning and they told me that I will have to wait other 2 weeks to know the results... No way, 2 months to get the results???? They forgot about me for more than 1 months, then when I send them the first e-mail they reminded that my file was still pending for some documents, then I sent them everything and they didn't receive part of them, after another week they asked me again for the same papers, I emailed everything once again and they finally received them and now that is more than 6 weeks they told me that I have to wait other 2 weeks because my file was pending for a long time because I sent all the documents late??

dont worry this is a good sign...if they didnt want you they would have sent you a rejection letter long time ago, so dont worry, u will be fine
what time did you phone them though? and do u know what the time difference is? I will give them a cal in next weekif i did not hear anythinge...

I called them this morning, in Italy was 9.30am (I tried to wake up earlier, but you know... yesterday was saturday!) I know that the gmt in Uae is +3h/+4h depending to the period of the year so I supposed that in Dubai was 1.30 pm but I'm not completely sure.
I made 1000 calls, everytime they gave me the wrong number but finally I managed to talk with the girl who worked on my application after at least 15 minutes of trying and she told me that... The only good thing is that now my application is complete and she sent it to the recruitment admin, I'm just afraid about other 2 weeks checking the mobile every 10 minutes!

Hi~ everyone..
I got a final interview in Feb. and now I've re-invited for next assessment day..They give me an opportunity instead of a year penalty.
Although it's goos mark, I'm anxious lest I fail again
Do you have any idea why EK reinvite ppl like me?

Joining on 28/03/08...final approval...

does anyone know usually how much time prior to departure u get final approval, ticket and visa??
Im due to join on 28/03 and still nothing. Do u have a phone number where i can call them (i mean a number where they do answer)?

Waiting for final approval
Hi all,
I am still waiting for my final approval, since I emailed them all medical forms last tuesday and they confirmed me that will get back to me shortly. In fact, I stated over the phone and via email that I need 1 month for notice period...now my DOJ is April 18 and I need to resign as soon as possible so I can give the notice period...anyone had gone through this can give me any advise? should I keep waiting or call them again?

after the final interview..
I just had my final interview with Emirates on Saturday.. It has been two days only but I am already getting anxious!
They gave me the package and cabin crew careers dvd and everything at the interview and told me they will get back to me in 4 to 6 weeks.
I gave them the proof of education, my casual pictures, and passport number.
I think the interview went alright, and I also went to take passport and full lenth pictures at the studio they had chosen.
Is there still chances that I will not get the job?
Or it is most likey that I will get the job since I have already done a lot of things. Well.. I haven't been asked to do the medical yet tho..

my final interview was exactly the same....dvd, studio which they have chosen, photos etc....im going now for 6 weeks of waiting......still did not get the golden call.....but no rejection letter either.....so fingers cross

I should just forget about it till they contact me..

Hey holagirl,
From what I've read from other people, most that got rejected after the final interview were the ones who were unprepared, or had photos that were too casual, but since they provided the studio, then that would solve that problem.
How did your final interview go? I was actually at that assessment day there, but unfortunately, did not make it to the final interview. But I have learned from that experience, and will be back in 6 months!

AS I TOLD YOU BEFORE, I GOT REJECTED AFTER THE FINAL INTERVIEW LAST YEAR (IN MAY) AND YESTERDAY I HAD A HUGE SURPRISE IN MY EMAIL BOX... EMIRATES REVIEWED MY FILE AND OFFERED ME A POSITION AS AN AIRPORT SERVICES AGENT, Can you believe it!!??
I replied immediately saying I've been working as a flight attendant for a while and that I would like to apply for a similar position in Emirates, and also ask them if I could attend the OD in my country in April! The lady advised me to do it!!! ...even if it's been less than 1 year sice the day of my final interview... she said 6 months was usually enough... WHAT DO THINK?

ohh my Gosh people after almost waiting for 6 weeks after my final interview I have just received a miss call from emirates in Dubai, unfortunately i was at work then, but i now assume this was my golden call, they left a number on voicemail and asked me to contact them as soon as possible.
im sooooo happy....going to call them first thing in the morning...yeahhhhhoooooo! lets hope its all ok.
