Will Jetbird be making an formal announcements if not already that they are winding down and recruitment has ceased for those that applied?
Nope, general rule about new aviation companies that WILL fail is that they make a lot of noise before and none after... (generaly because the dedicated spoke person was fired and/or the pr agency not paid)

Maybe try Wandair in Barcelona or Flairjet in Oxford, I believe they have P100.

[QUOTE]Sorry you folks are out of the situation, No I'm not JB./QUOTE]

Why do people always feel they know more about the situation than those of us who lived through it (like Suitcaseman). Never let the truth get in the way of a good story hey?!

Suitecaseman, I may have different opinions than yours, it doesn't mean you can't address me politely. VLJs have been fueling too many dreams for too long. It's a micro market which will work only with consistent support and planning and certainly not by spending millions in salaries before having an aircraft in the air.

I don't understand why manufacturers had to design expensive jets for so many years if it was so simple...

Phenoms and Mustangs are very good machines as long as they are operated the way they should. Promoting these machines out of their real operational domain will sooner or later have a cost. They anyway lead to different kinds of business models. Bicycle-taxis and limousines can't be ran on similar overheads.

Ask Middle East Citation Jet or Beech 1A operators if they are enjoying the performances they were sold on the paper and you'll have an idea of what will happen to the first fool who will bring a Mustang in Saudi Arabia in July.

SFLY I don't know what you're on but you certainly don't have a consistent viewpoint.

As suitcaseman observed you have gone from being very keen to get an interview for JetBird to absolutely slagging off just about everything about JetBird and VLJ's in general. Grow up.

And for everyone else the sad reality is that from 23 December 12 pilots and a whole load more Ops and admin staff are redundant with no pay, no benefits, nothing. Despite many of us having been messed around for the last 9 months or so (well you expect some of that with a start up) you won't hear too many bad words about JetBird, least not from the soon to be ex-employees. Only from the wannabees like SFLY who changes/changed his tune like a baby having a tantrum.

Aren't we not allowed to change our minds and opinions on an idea anymore just because some of you say so.

It might have been a good idea at the start and as things progressed it became a bad one OR vice versa.

I personaly think it's a shame to see it go anyhow.

Sorry if changing my opinion disturbs some readers but I have to admit that in the early days I had no ideas of how accounts were managed. Recent updates can't let me consider this operation as a promising one. FYI I didn't contact JB for a wannabee application but for something else.

Now that JB has failed, anyone with news about potential employers in this market? Let´s say in Europe and Middle East?

In fact, there are still some of us looking for decent jobs, believe it.

Thanks to everyone participating here...and giving valuable answers wo questions we alle bear in our hearts...whether Turbo-Props or VLJs is not one of´em...

I actually would comment SLFY for changing his mind from believing the marketing noise to realising that it would not fly...

The main problems is with people who have kept their pinkglasses on all the time rather than smell the coffee and change their mind or opinion.. Which is the George W Bush way of thinking: there are Weapons of Mass destruction even if we cannot find them, my intelligence data was wrong and it has been proven I have been lied to...

Well, for what it's worth have seen that a company called Toyo Motor Express are looking to recruit a CJ2+ Capt. and F/o based EU and Middle East - not sure of any other details though !

Just thought it worth a mention in case anyone had missed this - and sorry it's not relevant perhaps to the Phenom rated guys (well, unless your CJ rated of course ! lol)

Good luck with the hunting guys and gals !

Hi, if your definition of "this market" is the very light jet market then the only company who has at least started (dont know how succesful) is Blink in the UK. All other ventures have not started or failed There are some normal charter operators who have added some VLJ's, LEA and Flying Group spring to mind but they are not hiring

Maybe we should contact the Jetbird Management and give them a phone interview!

Question 1: Why the hell do you pay yourselves fat salaries and drive around in Hummers talking about your 100 "firm" Phenom orders when you know you're all full of ****e?

Loyalty

Hi Suitcaseman, are you suggesting people would be fickle enough to change their mind just because there was a possibility of an interview/job Let's hope the selection process works!!
