Herod 24th February 2012 15:36

Nope times two

NutherA2 24th February 2012 15:39

Manston, perhaps? OH if so.....

Lightning Mate 24th February 2012 16:13

Would it be somewhere near Hong Kong?

Good geriatrics thread this innit! :E

Herod 24th February 2012 20:46

Manston it is. OH has been declared. Maybe us geriatrics are the only ones with the edukashun.

Tankertrashnav 24th February 2012 22:45

Feeling a bit guilty about taking up these OH's, but in my defence I did work out Manston without peeking at the answer!

Anyway - another airfield

We wander north to a small village.

Lightning Mate 25th February 2012 08:55

An obvious answer is North Luffenham, but surely you wouldn't post something that easy!!

Tankertrashnav 25th February 2012 09:05

As if! No, not North Luffenham. Try a different cardinal!

Lightning Mate 25th February 2012 09:28

Cardinal as in heading I assume.

Hornchurch?

SC beckons you..................

Yellow Sun 25th February 2012 13:11

West Malling?

YS

Tankertrashnav 25th February 2012 14:14

right heading, wrong airfield YS. Every part of the clue is relevant to the answer.

LM - re SC - even when you show the big pictures I still don't recognise them! Memories of doing our monthly study sessions in the vault - I couldnt tell a Fishbed from a fish supper

NutherA2 25th February 2012 14:37

Good afternoon, TTN,

West Raynham (as in we stray N ham [let])?

Yet another OH if correct, I'm off to put on my English shirt, more in hope than expectation.

Tankertrashnav 25th February 2012 14:55

Another lesson in how to read cryptic clues from the master! West Raynham it is.

OH has been offered

(My Irish half well pleased after the result from Dublin, my English half is a bit apprehensive though)

Yellow Sun 25th February 2012 17:32

This airfield should leave you feeling pretty good!

YS

Herod 25th February 2012 20:13

Wellesbourne?

Yellow Sun 25th February 2012 20:42

Sorry, not Wellesbourne Mountford

YS

NutherA2 25th February 2012 21:17

Feltwell? Flying Provosts there made me feel pretty good.

Yellow Sun 26th February 2012 03:00

Feltwell it is:ok:

You have control.

YS

NutherA2 26th February 2012 07:47

Open House while I recover from post Twickenham nerves.

Lightning Mate 26th February 2012 14:16

Just to complete the challenges trio....

Airfield......a tired American car.

Herod 26th February 2012 17:54

Ford is the obvious (and probably wrong) answer. ;)
