I found this afterwards Tapez le titre ici Interesting as it shows it was quite small, and if you look at the Flight images, you'll see that the Pilot was to put his feet through holes in the fuselage side (missed out on the model) onto the rudder pedals mounted on the U/C legs, a bit draughty methinks, and no bloody instruments at all on the dash!! Looking at it again, I think that the "pilot" in the model is a bit on the small side! |
Thanks David, an excellent challenge...
Here we go: http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...ge/sc124-1.jpg |
Thanks TC.
The tatty 3-view at the bottom of your second link is how I originally received it from WK. It only took a couple of minutes to convert it to the one that was posted. Would you believe I've got another nineteen of WKs lined up !! Now, what is Ken going to throw up? It won't be an OH that's for sure. edit - here we go....... |
That's a bar steward of a perspective problem Ken. :(
Think I've solved it - it's banking away from us. |
'Tis a Waterman flying car, banking toward us. Different wing tips, however.
Google Image Result for http://hooniverse.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/waterman-lead.jpg |
Yep, correctly deduced LM. And as its not too clear, thats a pusher prop at the back.
|
Unfortunately I can't find the image which I THOUGHT that I had ready.
So it will have to be OPEN HOUSE, I fear. Grrr. |
Not a Waterman Flying Car seacue.
Seacue, can I ask that in future you wait for the person posting the challenge to confirm the identification is correct before you post your own offering. I know you had nothing on this occasion (which was just as well) but it would have confused everyone had you posted your own challenge. Thanks Ken |
One little fish before I depart.
Is the engine a Rotax? |
And one from me before I get back to work,
Is it a Mitchell Wing ?? |
Pardon me.. I got confused my the sequence of p0osts. Age is really showing.
|
Not a Mitchell Wing SincoTC
And not a Rotax engine. |
Got to go and buy some more worms now.
Catch you this evening. :) |
Pardon me.. I got confused my the sequence of p0osts. Age is really showing. |
Get some in mate. :E
|
Available as a kit?
|
I believe its only available as a complete aircraft.
I'll give clues on this if it doesn't go quickly as I will be offline this weekend....so it has to go today! First one....it was designed in the US, but manufactured in Europe. |
Just off to buy a new keyboard and mouse - won't be long.
|
Good evening skytrain,
One parting shot before I go offline, Is it Norm Castagneto's SWIFT motorglider ?? I found some photos from 2002; it looks very similar, except for the prop fairing which looks more squat and housing a Koenig engine http://www.twitt.org/Swift_02.jpg http://www.twitt.org/Swift_03.jpg I've just found a more recent photo of it as made by Aeriane in Belgium and called the Swift-PAS |
Hi Sinco...it is, sort of! Reading the article about Mr Castagnetto I believe he just happens to be the owner, or possibly a builder but not the manufacturer. The aircraft is called a Swift but is manufactured by Aeriane.
Anyway I think you are close enough, its actually called the Aerianne P-Swift. See this website for information: Aeriane Light aircraft and composite applications As you are going offline, are you declaring Open House? |
