Yes, after more investigation I can find no evidence that this was built/flown although it was planned for production. Good looking though it is, it does not qualify as a flying machine so I withdraw the challenge. For those that are interested, it was the Eagle Alpina amphibian. Must be more careful!

Yes it is the Dornier Komet/Mercur - hard to tell apart and several old pictures seem to be mislabelled as to which is which.
