Rather handsome looking thing, American?

Beamr 7th Sep 2021 04:16

Is that a retractable undercarriage? This has resemblance of Comper Mouse, and I'd have the impression its early 30's european make?

Noyade 7th Sep 2021 07:31

I can't honestly tell you if the undercart retracts. Doesn't look like it?
This is a very rare machine from the land of wallabies and koalas.
I only found one site which describes it - but with no photos.

Powered by a six-cyl 200 hp Menasco Buccaneer engine.

If it’s antipodean, Aussie pride demands a contribution.

The never completed Tugan Hawk C3?

OH if so.

I think CS might be on the right tracks, perhaps the Palcar TWA-4? If correct OH I’m afraid as nothing to hand.

Was thinking a 'Crushed Custer' but no evidence of the channel wing, so more likely the Baumann Brigadier?

Pypard 13th Sep 2021 17:04

Noyade has it: not a Crushed Custer but a Bandaged Brigadier. Over to you.

Noyade 14th Sep 2021 06:42

Cheers!

To me it looks like a Kiddy-Kopter Mk 1 with pine floorboards rotor blades. :ok:
Photo show a pilot being trained.

ahhhhh - I've seen a picture of this years ago - but where?
