BEagle 16th May 2023 09:56

Thanks, oncemorealoft!

Here's one for you all:

thnarg 16th May 2023 10:00

Now that looks Italiano, BEagle!

621andy 16th May 2023 11:21

Fiat Cr.32

BEagle 17th May 2023 08:58

621andy, you are correct!

You have control!!

621andy 17th May 2023 13:39

Oh! I've won one:8 I'm usually in awe of the knowledge of everyone on here:}

Anyway, this one will probably last 5 minutes...
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....bcdb436439.jpg
and apologies if it's already been 'done'...

chevvron 17th May 2023 14:43

Looks like it converts to a car.

Asturias56 17th May 2023 15:23

better than that submarine we had last year!!

BEagle 17th May 2023 18:15

So 'quaint'......

Quaint? I think I'd risk the submarine!

Most likely just Mr BEagle playing with a surname. ;)

621andy 18th May 2023 06:52

Indeed, Noyade is correct;): Beags was playing with you...It's a Quaintance Spratt 108...

Constructed mainly of Polyurethane foam and fibreglass, it had folding wings and a tow hitch so it could be towed by a car. The original engine was a 60hp Mercury outboard engine(!) but was replaced with a Subaru car engine...
It was controlled using Mr. Spratts 'Controlwing' system:eek:

Anyway...over to Noyade for the next teaser...and I'll retire into the shadows and continue lurking for another 10 years until another one pops up that I know:}

Asturias56 18th May 2023 07:58

Be of good cheer! I started out knowing nothing - now I know a little bit less than nothing

But your brain will remember some of the odder suggestions and you'll gradually aspire towards the Nirvana of the Masters like noyade & Bear

Noyade 18th May 2023 08:54

Cheers 621andy. Mr BEagle was certainly in the know before me -so control should go to him.

But if he's not interested - don't wait another 10 years - post another one now.
Failing that - open house.

:ok:

(Interestingly, Jane's/Aerofiles calls it the Model 105, but that museum calls it the Model 108?)

621andy 18th May 2023 09:08

I'll get a quick one in now then if BEagle doesn't take offence:O

BEagle 18th May 2023 10:24

No offence!

Although the image you've posted is a model, the real thing did actually fly - somewhat surprisingly!

Indeed, I couldn't find a decent pic of the real thing and as you say it did fly;)

Photos in publications aren't much better. The Cheranovskii BICh-3 most likely?

621andy 19th May 2023 10:18

Looks Russian with the Aircon/APU from an Mi-8 under the nose:uhoh: Presumably an Ag-plane of some sort:confused:

thnarg 19th May 2023 16:39

Well once again I have absolutely no idea but it looks like a Pawnee shagging a Dyson. Any clues Noyade? Is it from your side of the planet?

OUAQUKGF Ops 19th May 2023 18:57

What an absolutely splendid description - If only I could give you a ' LIKE '

Brilliant:D

chevvron 19th May 2023 21:30

Looks like something from New Zealand.

Noyade 19th May 2023 22:40

Ag plane it is. The shagger is a 350 hp Lycoming - the Dyson is a 108 hp Lycoming.
No sheep involved.
American.
First flight 1965.

So not based in any way on the design first planned by a certain Mr Snow, later taken over by Aero Commander, then others in various parts of the World?

BEagle 20th May 2023 21:48

Meth.inks a parasol?

621andy 20th May 2023 22:07

Yeeess, but which one...

thnarg 20th May 2023 22:14

A Nemeth one?

621andy 21st May 2023 05:56

Yes, that one:p Built by students at Miami University...

Back to you...:D

thnarg 21st May 2023 07:35

Thanks 621andy. Shall we have a proper flying machine for a change? Whose gear is this…

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....62f5e373d.jpeg

Noyade 21st May 2023 07:46

Fairchild XC-120.

thnarg 21st May 2023 07:49

Oh too easy! I shall retire while Noyade furnishes your next entertainment.

Noyade 21st May 2023 07:54

I would like for you to go again. :)

thnarg 21st May 2023 08:02

And I would like to continue my retirement on this fine Sunday morning here. Open house…
