I hate rotary, is this a mock up or production machine?

evansb 18th Mar 2014 21:22

Convair NC-131H TIFS.

Kitbag 18th Mar 2014 21:28

A real Frankenstein of an aircraft. Built as a variable stability test aircraft that can simulate the behaviour of any other aircraft in flight.

How about the Slipwing Hurricane the Hillson FH40

semmern 19th Mar 2014 16:54

Westland Wyvern, Eagle powered

Kitbag 19th Mar 2014 22:31

Oh good grief!

That took all of 8 minutes

Zaxis 19th Mar 2014 23:00

At first I thought this
http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...ps131ba423.jpg
but it wasn't.
The Wyvern was a quick one because it has always annoyed me that the FAA museum has the early Eagle powered model instead of the real Python powered one everyone knows. So it came back to me quite fast.

Challenge is ... what did I first think it was?

Noyade 20th Mar 2014 00:10
