So, those hours pouring over Putnam's German Aircraft of WW11 finally paid off.

My challenge is ...

Not German !

Noyade 2nd Mar 2014 03:32

Hello Zaxis.

The ventral fin was discarded after initial trials, but it certainly looks like the rear-end of the Lockspeiser LDA-01...?

Noyade,
Spot on, I think the undercarriage probably gave it away.
It was a brave attempt at something different, watch the video linked below for more.

Douglas B26 Invader?

semmern 2nd Mar 2014 11:30

Looks a bit big for an Invader.

Noyade 2nd Mar 2014 18:42

Douglas B26 Invader?
That's him mate! Your control. :)
Now tell me -are you really 103 years old as per your profile?

Looks a bit big for an Invader.
I lopped the guy off at the neck in the "vein" hope you'd think it was enormous. It worked? :)

Zaxis 2nd Mar 2014 19:54

Sorry, didn't fall for the kneeling guy. The bomb bay and the nose gear door shapes along with the shallow fuselage gave it away.

Next challenge ...

PS. Not really 103 but well over half of it.

Noyade 2nd Mar 2014 20:05

Zaxis 3rd Mar 2014 07:40
