Hearst Castle Airport San Simeon?

It is indeed the Hearst Airport in San Simeon close to Hearst Castle and very much a private affair for the Hearst corporation and its guests.

Occasionally obstructed by the herd of Zebra that roam the nearby hills.

San Simeon is one of my favourite spots in the whole USA - we stop there every time we're in state so it was a very familiar view - my dear wife took one look over my shoulder and got it! Do not despair - I think someone did me over in 4 minutes last year

Hmmm. A wild stab in the dark, based on the 'graced the pages of history only once' clue: Somewhere around the Gelibolu peninsula in Turkey, otherwise known as the more Ferrarese-sounding 'Gallipoli'?

Saint Helena? The airport surface looks new with no oil staining.

regretfully neither of the above - though in rather odd ways both of you are slightly warm

there isn't a lot of commercial traffic - mainly in country flights but seems popular with private aircraft
