sycamore 15th Sep 2019 18:08

main is 6000 ft

JENKINS 15th Sep 2019 18:09

Silly of me, too many hills. Keevil?

sycamore 15th Sep 2019 18:15

It`s very nice there at night, but you need goosenecks and goggles

sycamore 15th Sep 2019 18:17

I`ll light the goosenecks ,clear for take-off Jenks...!!!

If you `google it ,you`ll find videos ,Apaches,C17,A400 and Herks there.....

dook 15th Sep 2019 18:17

Keevil is sometimes used as a motorsport circuit.

sycamore 15th Sep 2019 18:57

I was the Comp.Sec for RAFMSA road racing(voluntarily),so we used to race at those places, plus the IOM TT,MGP,and sometimes Internationals ,and other UK venues.Beats being `Officer I/c JR mess, Cpls Club or Mess Sec....
Again, sometimes one had to lead from the `front`....

JENKINS 15th Sep 2019 19:37

Thanks. I had a similar sports role which confused those who wished to enhance my career, wonderful. On the day shown, if indeed 25 years ago is as you say, I was battling South Atlantic gales for 4 hours 30, a short day. Never flown skydiving at Keevil, plenty at Colerne, and at the successor to Colerne where an acquaintance was twice required to attend, and succeeded each time.

A sporting event drew my attention to this place.

The best secondary duty I had, in 1972, was bar officer.

As for the challenge, I have had quite enough for one day so I'll come back to it in the AM if it's still going.

Cricket or Rugby?

JENKINS 15th Sep 2019 20:24

Neither SLB.

Self loading bear 15th Sep 2019 20:31

Then it is not a sports event

JENKINS 15th Sep 2019 20:39

Ho-ho. This sport is followed by many, and the Dutch seem to be quite prominent therein.

Then either darts or sailing
