Med or further N/E...?

"...the North has significance"
Are you talking about Korea or Ireland ? |
Korea it is.
Near Goseong ?
My Collins Pocket Atlas gives two with that name, but neither I fear.
I assume it's South Korea.
Yes., very.
There's quite a lot of cultivation on the islands down south, so is it one of those ?
Yes. When I asked Interweb the question, albeit for another country, this spot appeared quickly.
Can't find a name but I've found it right down in the SW corner of Jeju Island.
It's 260/17 from Seogwipo. |
Yes, that's it. Look up Alddreu Airfield, I found it while looking for disused Japanese fields. Sino-japanese War, Kamikaze training, Korean War, even the hardened shelters to which I referred.
All yours. |
There are certainly no HASs visible on GE.
Found the shelters somewhere within Interweb.
dook - I think I can see 1 or 2 on bing maps (if that is what they are). Not directly on the airfield. Also on the Wiki page.

Thanks nvubu - I see it now. I was looking on the main area.
Standby please for the next. |
Parafield, South Australia? OH if correct...
Parafield it is - well done.
OH is called. |
A new terminal since the last time I was here: https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....d74d8f954.jpeg |
Australia?
Not Australia. |
Your side of the pond ?
It doesn't look very big. |
looks right hand drive by the parking.
There is a name on the wall "….. International Airport" |
Good spot.
I've enhanced that part in Photoshop and it says "...denciales" so it might be Providenciales International Airport. edit: looks like it. |
Looks :ok: :ok:
Well done dook. Provo airport in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I didn’t notice the sign when I first posted the picture, but I thought I would leave it there as it was not complete. I hadn’t reckoned on sharp-eyed WIWOLs. :) |
Nobody asking for clues.
Just one guess, how about Castle Bromwich? OH if correct, bedtime.
Just one guess ?
How about Castle Bromwich indeed.:ok: JENKINS has called OH. |
Indeed just one guess, the housing in top right corner distinctly British. With OH still valid, and my Manx kipper digested, try this.

I think "Manx kipper" is a red herring.
As always with these GE images there's almost nothing to go on, although this one appears to be on the coast or an island. A straight clue to get the ball rolling would be in order methinks. |
On the coast of an island. I could weave a story around the Manx red herring, a lovely comment on my kipper, but I won't. The people of this island, not very many, voted on a referendum and accepted the result. But that is inconsequential. The name given to the island was intended to encourage settlement, but there was little response. The Portuguese pitched up at one stage, as always, but didn't last long and are now merely but one leif in the history book.
That will be Ilulissat airport, Greenland
Now there's a shot !
Cgb, spot on, it is indeed. All yours.
It's going to be OH I'm afraid as I have nowhere new in my library.
