Methinks Fokker 50.

OH if correct.

evansb 17th Oct 2012 18:45

Yes, it is a Fokker 50.. As he requested, it is OPEN HOUSE again..

evansb 19th Oct 2012 14:39

Here I go again. Identify this cockpit: (withdrawn due zero response)

evansb 20th Oct 2012 14:52

Clue time: Central Europe, and license built in adjacent country. Powered by radial, in-line inverted, and even a horizontally opposed engine. Wings could be folded back to facilitate hangar storage.

evansb 21st Oct 2012 14:52

No response in 48 hrs. Challenge withdrawn.

Sorry I wasn't around to have a crack at that, it looked like a good one :)

Let's try and keep this thread on the front page!

Strange lettering on the big white instrument - are we looking towards the East from here?

SincoTC 25th Oct 2012 06:46

Morning Aviate,

Yes, look to Eastern Europe!

BTW; as you might have guessed from its condition, this is a replica and not the original.

SincoTC 25th Oct 2012 22:16

Here's another little clue, Although the designer and manufacturer were from Eastern Europe, the aircraft's actual name was redolent of Southern Europe

India Four Two 26th Oct 2012 02:11

Possibly Romanian?

SincoTC 26th Oct 2012 04:00

Morning India Four Two,

Sorry, not Romanian!

aviate1138 26th Oct 2012 06:10

Hungarian Lampich L-2 Roma perhaps?

SincoTC 26th Oct 2012 07:08

Good morning Aviate,

No perhaps about it, it is the Lampich L-2 Roma :D

Lampich L-2 Roma

aviate1138 has control :ok:

aviate1138 26th Oct 2012 08:48

Thanks Sinco TC.

Every time I find an interesting cockpit I discover it on Mel's list.

It has to be OPEN HOUSE

PS The Lampich L-2 Roma replica - did it ever fly? Just curious.

It certainly looks like it did, but it's in a museum now though :(

Hmm, yes, I know the feeling well; but you just have to keep looking, there's quite a lot out there :)

Karlark 28th Oct 2012 20:08

Manufactured in Patterson, New Jersy.

Karlark 29th Oct 2012 02:58

No guesses...

It is a New Standard D-25 cockpit:
