Which Aerodrome Mk IV
Quite a social spot!
Well it might but it ain't
Not too far away though

It is on an island but somewhere a bit cooler than Menorca
WIDN62 is getting closer - but not Denmark
"the islands of Bornholm and Öland are quite different. Presumably not either?"
yes they are different - and no - it's on one of them

24 hours having passed I confirm Lauriebe has the right airfield - Borglanda, just outside Borgholm on the Swedish island of Oland
Not as busy as you'd think as the island has a bridge connection to the mainland. The old building is Borgholm Castle, a 12th Century fortress knocked about over the centuries and rebuilt as a place a couple of hundred years ago IIRC
Over to you!

My, how Dublin has changed. I haven't been there for about 10 years. The talk then was that a new runway would never get through the politics and eco stuff. I didn't realise it had been built. We've been talking about a new runway for Heathrow for about 30 years and it's still no closer. I doubt I'll live to see it and I'm planning to live to 100.
When I first went to Dublin there was 16/34, 23/05 & 29/11 with three sets of VASI lights on runway 23, the upper ones were for the 747. Also remember landing on 29 in the Electra.
Sorry about thread drift.
