The buttons on the stick must be for something.

A mud-mover 'praps.

I think that's near enough mate! In fact the UT-1 trainer became the UT-1B - Wartime attack version when fitted with two ShKAS machine guns and two or four RS-82 rockets.

Airwar, my image source, classifies it as a Light attack aircraft.

Above the engine operation panel is a sentence in Spanish/Italian which ends in the word "agricola"

Looking at the rocket selector panel and general layout, ASI etc, I'm thinking early COIN, 1950's piston powered ?
