It was the HJT-17 basic Trainer which was developed in parallel to the HJT-16 Kiran. The Kiran was eventually selected.

Open House.

Time passages here too.

This may be a very good challenge, or just a very left-field aircraft!

I first thought we might be looking at the aft end of an on-wing turboprop installation of some kind? Or it could be a weird twin APU exhaust set-up... The unfaired trailing edge either side hints at the latter, but if this is a tail, where is the rudder? Or, it could be (and probably is) something very exotic.

The same starter for ten as last time from me...

Did this aircraft enter series producton?

Yes, that thought crossed the dinner table here too...

I've a feeling evansb has it (lots of photos on the web, including some from this view)...

That said, I'm still puzzled by the stubby things! Does anyone know what they are? They look like vents or sensors...

LM posted this excellent challenge four and a half days ago, and was last online, it appears, about 28 hours ago... My question, posted a little over 24 hours ago, remains unanswered.

Here's a picture, from above and behind, of the X3: http://www.tunersandmodels.com/wp/wp...opter-x3-9.jpg

I'm happy that evansb has it. Anyone like to second, so that we can move on..?

That is, if the rules permit such a thing... If I'm out of order, tell me, please.

It would be lovely to regain a certain pace here.
