Hi Karl.

Is it that super-duper MiG MAPO jet?

My guess is the turbocharged Lavochkin LA-7TK, although I can't find a picture of it....

Edit; Maybe not, does looks Russian though.

This type of aircraft had "reached the limit of its technical potential" by 1939 and the supercharged M-25VTK engine shown was a desperate attempt to improve performance and remain competitive at high-altitudes.

It is Russian, but not a Lavochkin.

This one wasn't too super duper; it never made it past mock up stage.

Edit: It was a LWF contender.

LWF contender
Thanks Karl. That made things very easy. I always thought it was just a two horse race.
Impressive looking machine, looks pretty super-duper to me, the Boeing Model 908....

Yes, that's the one.

Looks like it stabbed the wall and sprung a leak.

Your control.

It does! Just noticed that now.

Open House thanks Karl, as I'm one on one with a Russian.

That's a fair stab, but not the Varsity mate.
This is not a British aircraft.

A Famous individual is responsible for this aircraft. He had a lot of money and became rather reclusive in later life....
