Thanks, the shape of the Hardened Aircraft Shelters sent me that way, but would have been quicker if my Russian was better. Siberia, bit cool. Now let's go travelling again. My visit here pre-dated the large new terminal, and my machine was man-handled into the sole remaining parking slot on the small apron. Occasion a local VIP wedding, many there and a chum from RAF days was sent to cool his heels many miles away.
Are we in “The Southern Gates of Arabia”?
Major thread drift here! Freya Stark certainly was an amazing character. Travelling unaccompanied, with local guides, from Mukalla to the Hadhramaut, in the 1930s.
In the early 90s I was on a seismic crew on the plateau that she traversed en route. I read her book after I returned and found that I could identify which geological formation she was crossing on her journey. Amazing observational and descriptive powers!
My mode of transport was an Aerospatiale Lama, which was a big improvement on her four-legged transport!

Not up there either. Lovely day here. To get closer, look at postings of Brakedwell, study his likely squadrons, and that will bring you closer. Sycamore should take the hint, but I stress simply 'closer.'
Spicejet on approach as I write.
