That's the one. Jenkins gets it on the line.
Home to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing. Used to operate the SR71, now mostly UAV operations but still flying the U2.
Hard luck Dook.

From the photo:
quite long shadows so not near equator
Disused airport.
Fairly “regulated” country looking at all the neat painted parking boxes.
Must have some attraction on the premises to have so much parking lots available.

RAF Catterick that was, Marne Barracks that is. Guessing the driving refers to the CVRT track round the back.
CBG - what were you doing there in ‘83? Started gliding here then under AA as OC.

DD, I was just another cdt (1114 Sqn) doing their gliding wings with 645VGS. I think I was one of the few who solo'd on the ASK21 before they bought the Grob. Staff Cdts - Ralph Coates (RIP), Sean Ryles and Ian Clarke

CBG - Was at NC's funeral...shame. Check your PM's.
New to this image posting stuff so not sure if I've got the sizing right or not....
Try this one... relatively easy, I think.

Duchess,
Nice posting.
i see an ?former? Airbase with massive expansion going on.
3 parked high winged 2 engine aircraft on the “old” parking spots.
Looking at how loose they are parked, I think these are not military.
Looking at the country you are coming from:
In Spain the planes stand mainly on the plain?
But not in Getafe (Airbus)
Is it a recent photo?
