Thanks, haven't flown skydivers there. For Sycamore, too busy in Yorkshire with my external activity to share in the social delights of that spot. Italy, Giro, very wet today, shame. Musing over Roman mythology, and up came this. I fear that lack of copyright, no photos though many memories, and limited equipment restrict me to Google Earth and a touch of obfuscation. This creates comment, I fear, but one more effort -
Very tidy - are we in N America?

No, not North America, though I believe that the water feature bottom left is of a type common in USA. I slipped sideways in my musings on Roman Mythology to Siamese motor-racing, inevitable.
I'm confused - Roman Gods and Siamese cars???
Does the large factory top centre have any aviation connection?

That circular bush/ wetlands looks what we in the Netherlands call a “wiel”.
When a levy breaks, the floodstream erodes the land directly behind the breakthrough.
The levy was normally repaired by a new levy around the “wiel”.
But this doesn’t brings us much further.
I haven’t found such AirPort near petrochemical transfer complex in the Netherlands
Northern Europe?
Baltic region?

No aviation in factory. Not Gods, simply mythology, keep looking. As for the landscape, yes, a good assessment, better than mine. I considered an ox bow lake, your impression is better. Not Baltic, but not entirely Northern Euroope. Remember that I am Welsh, and Europe now seems so far away.

That is it. A twin town of Ravenna, the idea from the mythology of Rome's founding. Siamese racer had Romulus and Remus as his two ERA cars long ago, these of course being the twins in Roman mythology. Prince Bira for the younger amongst you! I could have chosen Chichester and thus Goodwood since this also is apparently a twin of Ravenna.
All yours.
All yours.
Bit convoluted; Romulus and Remus..Roman mythology;.Also 2 racing cars,ERA R2B,Romulus,R5B,Remus, owned by Prince Chula and his cousin Prince Birabongse(Bira) of Thailand(Siam).Known as `White Mouse racing Team 1935-50s,later additional ERA R12C/B Hanuman.,racing colours, flag of Siam, chassis ,yellow, bodywork ,pale blue....
Yellow and blue= Sweden perhaps...?
Wiki has full details of Bira....
Dammit,beaten again.....

As usual the Jenkins crypto mythology was beyond my grabs.
But I gathered the petrochemical location and harbor was too small for a Seaside harbour.
Not completely Northern, started my search from Basel along the Rhein.
Now this:

A wingless AN-2 and a PZL-104 Wilga. Are we in Poland?

Only 18 minutes, thought it wouldn't last long.
My son was playing his first adult hockey match (turned 13 last week) on the pitch at RAF Halton, so too good an opportunity to miss. He was awarded man of the match - a really good start to his adult hockey career.
