Not an Aero. Not very much information available, but it was somewhat "special".

Edit: The wing was.

No winglets. They did something that was tested by many at the time.

Why were it unlike Skytrain?

I'll tell you why. Because it is the Boyd Flying Craft Model C 1932. Variable-camber "safety plane" with corrugated metal construction (a tin can).

Over to you

Why were it unlike Skytrain?
When I say not unlike I mean it is like.....the Boyd C that is. Undercarriage looks different but have only found the Aerofiles photo.
If correct will have to be Open House again....looks like being a late night in the office

Yes, you are correct: In a second look, I have left one strut (a horisontal one above the wheel) un-silhouetted, because I thought it was a shadow of the wing strut . Other than that, I cannot tell the difference between gears in the two pictures.

Skytrain has declared Open House.

Good evening everyone.

I have had about thirty minutes free time today, and that was occupied by lunch!

I am now home at last - don't want you buggers bored........

Evening LM,

Just got in for an early night!! Thought those struts looked like they were for variable dihedral and found the Waterman Flex-Wing in Aerofiles!

Edit:

Just heard from our IT guy; apparently, there was a break-in at the local exchange last night and a lot of copper wire was stolen, damaging a good many circuits!! Repairs are going on now and there may well be interruptions of service later this evening. Therefore I'll ask for an Open House now, while I've still got a connection and play it by ear and see what happens later!! Hopefully Graeme or Bri will drop in and snap it up!
