Morning.. er.. afternoon (?) Graeme,
That one was a little tricky on Ken's part, it had 2 different looks to it depending which photo I was looking at. It does appear to be the correct one, though. I will venture out and post the next challenge.. almost a silhouette here anyway :

Close to 1030 Hrs here Karl.
I'll try for the Sukhoi I-14 (ANT-31)...?
He is a tricky guy, our Ken. I didn't cotton onto the 'straight' piece behind the cockpit, I just assumed is was part of the fuselage.

That's him.
Your control.
I wish they would quit messing with the clocks around here, keeping me off kilter from the rest of the world. 7:30 (1930) Easter Eve here. Merry Easter to you!

Thanks Karl.
Keeping in step with your lovely Curtiss photo and Brian's very nostalgic and historical B-17/P-47 photo, here's mine.
I'm very partial to large coffee-table style picture books devoted to aircraft and warfare but unfortunately they tend to fall down in the captioning department. No mention is made of the airborne aircraft but I'm sure its already on Mel's list...

It's not Russian! I don't want to mislead you, but the connection is more than just a resemblance, some sources say it was a licence built version, others that it was developed from the Dornier.
Its engines were also out of the same stable as the airframe!

Narrowing down a bit, not Spanish or Dutch!
Don't forget I said same stable for the airframe and the engine, although some sources use the same name for both, it's not technically correct!
Edit: Good morning Ken !!
Sorry Graeme: the man from Wales has swooped and pipped you to the post.
It is the Fiat powered, airframe by Fiat subsidiary, the CMASA MF.5
skytrain10 has control
