Yours some sort of Extra?
Sorry Graeme, in my 1225 post I said I would hold off posting pending Mel's challenge, but following David's invitation to us both, I went for it

Evening Ken,
I've been out all afternoon and it does seem to have been quiet; although I note that David has aquired a new icon for some reason !!
Does one-off mean it's a manufacturer's prototype that didn't go into production, or that it's an amateur's, built from scratch effort?
Was it presented at any well known events?

Evening Trevor
The latter One source describes it as a homebuild - but no plans were ever offered that I can see.
It may have been, but I cannot see there is any photo on the net that reflect's that. Let me check further.
Not sure what's happened with David...not seen anything that would have prompted the icon change

Trevor, I can't see that it has appeared at any major events. That's not to say it hasn't but merely that there is no obvious record of it having done so.
As this one is proving elusive, to help, it first flew in 1978 and remains current on the register today.

Evening.
It is mate. I had a look in a woman's journal (Jane's) for 1978, but no luck.
Gentlemen. Reading this, is it time to move on? Seriously, there's is only a handful playing, maybe just continue via e-mail?

More Nostagia, more aircraft history - that is what this forum is about. NOT a quiz forum. Sorry, but let us stick to the forum title. I am sure you can find another place for your quiz games.

Would it be the Bushby/Long Midget Mustang built by John Strether?
I appreciate there has been a bit of chat today, so just to remind everyone, this is from the same country that gave us the Extra, so it's a German design. See my 1458 post.
Closing down for the night now. Usual rules apply.
Good night
Tempting fate there Mel, 964 pixels wide.
Thanks mate, but I'm not feeling very nostalgic or historical at the moment. Discovered the Welcome mat is gone...going away to see if I can find another one.
Open House.

One needs to be very nostalgic for this open house one :
Edit: Hopefully the thread sticks around, and Noyade too, not to mention the rest of you regulars.
