RR, let me give you some unsolicited advice. Do what I did: Get old. One day (ONE day, yahearme) your employer will find that the invaluable and irreplaceable work that has made him require you to slave around long odd hours, travel around, and spend weekends at office, is no longer needed. That's right: not only unnecessary but not needed at all.

They will send you home, as of that very day, to watch everybody else busying around with work and you wondering which aircraft you would silhouette next.

Some of the tail is missing. Is this a helicopter or an autogyro?

Edit: The third alternative would be ramjet-thingy. Is it?

Something like American Helicopter XA-8 / XH-26 or Hiller Hornet.

AAAhhhh! Nostalgia! Schmidt-Argus jets was one of my childhood's distant dreams! To get one day enough money to buy one and build a model aircraft….

Never came through .

Complete failure! Zilch.

Did it fly?

Something that Focke-Borgward tried or planned?

Not sure, Reg. The photo I have shows a complete machine. Not anything that you've mentioned. To keep the thread moving shall I declare it?

OK.

An obscure one.

The Fluro Libelle, jet-powered helicopter from the 1950s, designed by W. Schlieske?

OPEN HOUSE

Edit: withdrawn - see SD's post!
