Well spotted LXXIV - Hooton Park long before it became built over by Vauxhall Motors, Ellesmere Port. I cut out the Manchester Ship Canal as it was a giveaway. A couple of the truss hangars remain (listed) and there is a small collection of aircraft - including a Meteor to represent the City of Chester Auxilliary RAF squadron that was based there.

Flyingwing:
As a junior inspector aged 15, (mainly collecting serial nos of Embodiment Loan items), I was employed at Martin Hearn's works at HP. The job of my dreams for a young aircraft mad lad. Led on to 42 years in the RAF, what else?

Too far west.
Edited to add a clue:
This aerodrome is about 3 miles from the center of the city it serves and is about 400 feet higher.
Closing down soon. Should be back by about 10:00 GMT on Monday.

It looks like UK somewhere.
I thought Blackpool, but I can't make it fit.
The railway in the foreground with the bridge over, and the rows of terraced houses in the background should fix it.
