Flap40 is quite correct. That wasn't too much of a challenge then?
My next clue was about to read... 'Being next to the beach, it did reek of seaweed!' As in "MacGillycuddy's Reeks"...
They were my alloy wheels; just at the end of the tarmac road... no other place to park! But no dammage.

BSD, I was thinking eastern Norway or southern Sweden, based on the farm buildings ('Falun red' paint), mixed tree types and general topography. One, or both, of us is wide of the mark! Looks as if there are power lines and pylons in a deep valley behind the long barn.
Zooming in, looks like yellow European direction signs at the end of the road. Are American ones green?

Any ideas trolltuner? Don't think I can home in any further! Doesn't look flat enough for Skane. The hidden deep gorge and lack of the usual Scandi rocks everywhere suggests a fertile easily eroded soil. If it's a summer evening photo the shadows suggest the camera is looking south.
East of Oslo?
