brakedwell is correct. RAF Henlow, Shefford, Bedfordshire, England. Canadian-built Hawker Hurricanes were assembled at Henlow, and the shipping crates were used to construct the Flying Club control tower.
brakedwell has control.

Going back to link 132, that isn't Henlow. There are no hills in Bedfordshire and there are no woods near the airfield, nor were there ever.
I don't know where it is but I know where it isn't.........

The photo was taken on April 25th, 1966. I seem to remember they were 13 Sqn Canberras from Akrotiri, but you might be able to confirm it from this photo which was taken when they were being refuelled.

Re: RAF Henlow. The water tower is alleged to be the Pirton/Stondon Tower, which is west of the aerodrome. The village to the right of the tower is perhaps Meppershall. Here is a link to a recent photo of Henlow:

If serious doubt persists, we should consider RAF Henlow not yet posted as a challenge.

Two water towers visible from Henlow; to the East is one on the A1, the other to the west is at Stondon. At the time of the photro the view to the west would have the large old HP pickle factory in the way and to the East would be the airfield boundary. The photo shows a rifle range in the back ground, Henlow has only had one range and it isn't out in the open.
