No mate, It would have lost by quite a few years, more than a decade, but less that two.
I've just checked that the manufacturer never made racing aircraft, but it would have been appropriate!

You have it one11 well done
My source says it's actually a Fleetwings XPQ-12 and it was an unmanned Drone, hence my comments (intended to be directed at myself), about "going on about it and getting monotonous" = droning.
one11 has control

TC you fooled me (let me fool myself) again. The first word I wrote down after reading your cue was "Ercoupe". And the first word the description of this A/C is "Ercoupelike" . "Ercoupelike aerial target, manned capability. 1pClwM."
The other glitch was that I was looking for an open cockpit, but Aerofiles code says cabin/canopy.... .

Thanks TC.
I was hoping to avoid Open House but the one I had set up on Photobucket is not downloading for some reasons so it will have to be OH as I don't have time to investigate.

Sorry about that Reg, those pesky Aerofiles codes diverted me the other day too
There was a picture of the YPQ-12 on aerofiles that seems to be identical except that it was modified to carry a bomb, this shows just a windshield too
The site where the image came from had a picture of a modified Ercoupe just below it, the XPQ-13 and I had to go and check that out while looking for RR's chalenge in case it had spatted landing gear!!
Edited to say I have to go now, I see that one11 is having download problems, it must be contageous bearing in mind the weird goings-on this morning ! Let's hope LM returns soon, have sent him an email.
See you all Monday

Sorry Doug, I'm lousy with these ones, bit like Chinatown, they all look the same.
Any chance of a year? It's a wet miserable humid Sunday morning here and I was hoping to find it rummaging through old "Observers"...
