PIK 9
In fact PIK (Polyteknikkojen Ilmailukerho, Aviation Club (for Students) in University of Mechanical Engineering, in Finland) is a club, not a manufacturer, although the members have designed and build several aircraft, gliders and sailplanes, as you say.
The PIK 9 project was a Masters Thesis of Mr Raimo Häkkinen for a towing plane.

Well, my lunch break is over, so I'm off to work for a while, I think these inevitable delays are a (well worthwhile) price we have to pay for having a worldwide following!
