Incidentally I had no idea Top Gear had such a following down under
We had an Australian version but it was terrible. Nobody watched it. Can't beat the British.

I did? Looking at the couple of names I mentioned yesterday I don't see any connection. Clearly I need to look closer!!

Ha! Do you want me to start singing my rendition of "Stairway to Heaven?"
. Probably best not to!!

I guess as its silhouette challenge you could put "Can yu guess what it is yet?"!

Well it seemed like yesterday...maybe the day before...

There are a few similar sights, but none of them are that comprehensive. You might also try:
Translation result for http://www.airwar.ru/
Its a Russian website so I've linked it through babelfish. Needless to say its coverage of Russian and former eastern bloc countries is better than Aviastar.
If you just want to go straight to the aircraft and don't mind Russian, you can also access it here: Index of /firm
The most comprehensive resource for American aircraft is probably Aerofiles. Just go to: You just landed at AeroFiles!
You'll find a lot more than 8 Waco's!
Hope this is of interest.

Morning, Sir.

I had already figured out that you were talking about the other thread, but there are, indeed, more than 8 Wacos, so I wasn't down in R just yet. Went back to thread to see the picture again, and there were you, spilling everything out! .

Morning, Sir.
Don't call him Sir - he's an Aussie.

Sorry mate. I just don't like dragging these challenges out, especially overnight by me. I tend to pack it in early

Skytrain - everything goes, I am on my way to seeside for the week-end soon

LM - for an Aussie I find him kind of gentlemanly, though.
