Thanks RETDPI. As you say a lovely boat.

Staying with the 'maritime' theme here is the next challenge.

skytrain10 has it, the Shavrov Sh-7 it is. Design started in late 1938 with water trails in the spring of 1940. The first flight was in June 1940 and it was declared ready for series production in December 1940. However, WWII stopped the production and only one prototype was produced.

The front elevation drawing is incomplete. Note the tailplane had a biplane structure and three rudders.

Sorry, not a Blackburn GP. Not from Great Britain. 10 were ordered, only one was produced.

Almost 24 hours and no takers, must be time for a clue. This aircraft is not to be confused with its 'younger' brother.

Is it a Bücker Bü 182 "Kornett"? Lovely looking little thing ...
If so, open house.
Cheers

Well done Jamesel it is the Bücker Bü 182 ‘Kornett’ (Ensign in English). It was a single seat trainer developed in 1938 to train pilots in dive bombing techniques. It could carry 4 x 1,5 kg bombs on external racks. Only four aircraft are believed to have been built, all of which were destroyed in 1943/1944. As you say, a lovely looking little thing.

Kieron Kirk is correct. Bonus point if you can provide the alternate designation for the SAAB 105. Extra bonus point if you can name the missing aircraft that was late for the photo shoot.

Which SAAB a/c was not there? Are there any "Tunnen" still flying?

Ciarain.
