Well done Jamesel it is the Bücker Bü 182 ‘Kornett’ (Ensign in English). It was a single seat trainer developed in 1938 to train pilots in dive bombing techniques. It could carry 4 x 1,5 kg bombs on external racks. Only four aircraft are believed to have been built, all of which were destroyed in 1943/1944. As you say, a lovely looking little thing.
