Just a point on the YA-9A. The actual aircraft differs somewhat from the drawing. See photo of prototype YA-9 below. Note the broader stubbier tail, as well as the tailplane surface being canted upwards. Also rearward protuberances on the wings.

Emair MA-1

looks as if it could be the stealth version......

DeKd, I believe you're correct, and its non-stealthy, complete with prop!

I think I may be falling into a trap...but isn't it a Westland Lynx?

Mel's Challenge

oncemorealoft. It is no trap it is indeed a Westland Lynx AH Mk1. From a photograph I took of a Lynx from 654 Sqn AAC landing as the winter sun was setting in Detmold Germany 1978.

Great! Open House please as I've no access to suitable pictures.

I thought it was too easy but it was a good excuse to show a nice atmospheric picture. I feel quite proud actually because as far as I'm concerned there are only five real helicopters: Wessex, Whirlwind, Sioux, Huey and that new fangled Jet Ranger. All the others look the same apart from those funny Russian things which don't count anyway 'cos they're just too ugly.

Actually it is a Hiller OH-5A, the machine that the Fairchild-Hiller FH-1100 was based on. You have control.
