Hi Strega,

If you read my post carefully, you'll see that I don't know what Ken wants for an answer and I certainly gave no indication that you have won! I simply wanted to give you guys some useful practice in research until his return.

Anyway, the rules of the forum dictate the you will have to wait 'till skytrain decides if the answer is correct and gives control. I suggest that you delete your post and wait for his return, and maybe follow up my suggestion as it would be good research practice as I said.

chazchaz is perfectly correct in his post above!

I am back.

This is a difficult one. The name I wanted was Fokker B2. The term Fokker sesquiplane applies to a number of Fokker aircraft, including the Fokker B2, as well as its close relative, the B1, However as far as I can see the photo that strega has included with his guess is, I am sure, the Fokker B2.

Nevertheless, I feel that I must award this to chazchaz, as he came up with the correct name. Sorry if that seems harsh strega, but as Sinco was pointing out, dig a little deeper, and you will find the answer.

So over to you chazchaz, and thanks for your guidance Sinco in my absence.

But well done to you both .

Hi strega...while we are waiting for chazchaz one thing I would say is don't always rely on one particular website for information (as Sinco has already implied). Sometimes it is not accurate, so its always worth double checking. Whereas the Fokker B2 is a sesquiplane it is only an example of one....do a search for Fokker sesquiplane and you will find several different aircraft. Don't worry, I think most of us here have been caught out before! Having said all that I know very well when you know you are competing with someone else you sometimes have to jump in....the danger is of course you give the game away to your opponent!

So enjoy the competition....its good fun...and never be afraid to ask us questions, but remember we are learning too!

More or less, although the lower wing can of course be LESS than half the size. Having said that there are some aircraft that are referred to as sesquiplanes where the lower wing is certainly smaller but greater than half the size of the upper wing.

one11 is correct. The Burgess-Dunne Aerohydroplane. The #2 Burgess-Dunne was Canada's first military aeroplane. Your control.

Hello.

The wing trailing edge is not straight, and there isnt a fuselage cooler like the P51 or Spiteful.

I dont think it's either of those. Looks Russian.

Is it a Yak?
