Afternoon all,
I have a feeling it's American; the hoarding in the background is for Stanavo Aviation Petrol a popular product of Standard Oil in the thirties, but I don't know if it was sold outside the States.
LM, you said you knew where to look in the absence of Aerofiles () !!
Lunch break over now, so good hunting guys

TC,
Been all over the place with that mate. Found out it was sold almost worldwide, but gives no clues about what wer'e after.
Standby for some other sites, but knowing you buggers you probably know about them.

LM...yep, already had 1000aircraftphotos, but not had any joy..!
TC...thanks for that on Stanavo....I see though they had a much publicised deal with the Italian air ministry....so could still be Italian....but there again......!
So 1935, 1 built, Gipsy Major engine, not German or British, survived until 1940....leads me to think European.
Pretty sure its not Russian/USSR though.
More research needed me thinks!

Thanks Doug....another aircraft that was new to me! I eventually found it from the engine type and the fact that it disappeared in 1940.
Let see if this lasts any longer than my last offering:
