RWD-6 only three built first flight 1932, however I see that it is not the aircraft you are after.

Well have to admit I am struggling....in the desperate search for more information, are you able to narrow down the European region? Like Mel I keep coming back to the RWD-6 which ticks some of the boxes, but from what you said earlier, its not a Polish design. But perhaps somewhere nearby?

OK.... here's what you have......

not Polish.. "but nearby" depends on your definition of nearby
not American
not French
it was European

built and first flown 1932 - 3 built

The manufacturer made a number of different types. One was notoriously unreliable and accident prone!

Engine - Pobjoy R 85hp

How about that?

You sound like you knew it all along! I just couldn't see you all suffering any more hence my latest clue.......

30/11/2008. The Nederlandsche Fabriek van Vliegtuigen H. Pander & Zoonen. (Dutch Aircraft Factory H. Pander & Sons) was established at The Hague in 1924. In the following 10 years the company produced 37 aircraft, including three Multipro's.

The three-seat Multipro sport aircraft was designed by Theo Slot in 1932, powered by a 85 hp Pobjoy R seven-cylinder radial the first, PH-AIU c/n 42, of three built was flown in September 1932, followed by PH-AIV and PH-AIX c/n 44 in 1933. PH-AIV was lost on May 10 1940 at the start of WWII hostilities in the Netherlands.

The notorious one was the S.4. It was a mailplane (one built) which was eventually w/o in India after hitting a tractor on take off.

You have control Skytrain10!!!

In fairness it was the Pobjoy connection that lead me to it. By the time I saw your "pander" clue I was already there! An excellent and frustrating challenge. Quite a nice looking machine in my book.

Have guests round shortly so Open House.
