Silhouette should be from flightglobal, July 30, 1925, p.484
(for the sake of completeness )

Thanks Reg!
Lots of wrongly labeled pictures in google image search... so the "college" clue was especially useful!

Sorry for the delay
I'll now enjoy a little competitive advantage...

Hi LM!
Of course you can...
This one's going to stay up until this evening at least, so the more the searchers, the merrier...

That's very confident-sounding.

Belt or chain driven prop.
HP could you confirm either of the two, or a third alternative?

D'artois 1913 flying boat
buttrick, hole in one!

From Jane's All the World's Aircraft 1913, available for free on Project Gutenberg...

Jane's calls it, incorrectly, Aero-torpille hydro biplane. The aero-torpille is a different beast (tail pusher prop), as Flight Global says:
flight copyright | salon iuhxks | torpille biplane | 1912 | 1022 | Flight Archive

All yours mate!
