Silhouette challenge
I had a childish childhood Reg...I 'read' a lot of comics.
Don't worry Trevor...I have no idea what it is; even less now.

Just got back home, gave a quick peek and found...
a Curtiss-Wright X-100 from 1954?
I can leave some stuff for the night this time, if you wish...
Edit: it's getting late... guess I'm going to bed now... should be around tomorrow morning from about 9 o'clock GMT but, by all means, feel free to continue without me if right (especially the people from exotic timezones...).
Goodnight y'all!

It seemed to have gone quiet, so I just popped out to give the dog a last minute walk and when I got back I found that the moment I went, HP had popped in with the correct answer (again)!!
It is the Curtess-Wright X-100 and HappyPass has left an Open House for the night-shift

My childhood was 20 years before yours and I read serious stuff like Battler Britton. Sometimes almost felt pity for the Germans who did their best to look evil and say things like "Die, Swinehund!", but then "Ach mein Gott", and always ended up flying through the air with their arms and legs spread (but always in one piece) screaming "Aaaaaarrrrrggggghh!". And Davy Crocket, Hopalong Cassidy and Tex Willer. And of course Donald Duck - everybody did - very serious. He was called differently, though.
Edit to add: Good morning TC!

Guten Tag Reg ,
Just adding a clue to my cockpit and checking to see if another challenge has materialised overnight before heading off for "walkies and workies".
Edited to add Good evening Graeme
Catch you all later!

Hang on, I think I now know what you mean...I just saw the silhouette 'reverse' on me as well.
We're above it and it's moving from right to left of screen. Pusher prop.

Sorry, I am joggling with a couple of other things, too, so cannot put my intelligence fully on this one .
Intelligence like in "military intelligence", nothing to do with brain power .

Morning!
Was looking for canard ultralight and a query gave me a Goldwing Ultralight... but without canopy and without wheel fairings (like this http://www.ultralighthomepage.com/PICS/24kwing.gif)... I continued to search until I noticed that you inadvertently left the original name of the airliners picture.
So, yes, it's an Eurowing Goldwing.
