No.

Was your glider built/flown Davis?
Who's Davis?

The silhouette is from a photo of it airborne.

Well, have gone through all the suspects and drawn a blank. I had been assuming this was for military purposes, but I am just wondering if this is a civilian glider that just happened to appear during WWII?

Sorry Ken....you're on ya own mate. I'm looking at a 1972 magazine that purports to detail all the American transport gliders of WW2. Sixteen there. David's is not listed.

Such is life.

0001 hrs.

Time to go. Good luck Ken!
See ya Davis!

Mmm, not in my one book of WWII gliders. I'm guessing therefore this was a one-off? I'm wondering if its perhaps smaller than it initially appears to be...no wing struts?

The manufacturer is in Aerofiles, but the machine is not.

The photograph is on the web.

It did not go beyond the prototype stage and is indeed cantilevered.

The designer was Russian.

No connection with the Cherokee Martin.

And despite the windows and doors, its listed as a 4 seater.
